Does anybody remember the band - Jethro Tull and/or their albums/songs like Aqualung, Locomotive Breath...
I love the band for its albums, their live shows, Ian Anderson... I was just wondering if there were others who knew of the band and had something to say about them :)

Jethro Tull is awesome. Ian Anderson is fantastic. I have seen them twice in my life. I remember during concert here in Chicago ( It was the "Bursting Out" tour. 1970's)
Somebody thre eggs at the band. (not sure why) and Ian Anderson
exclaimed "Quit throwing the bloody omlettes". Too funny.
One year they won the Heavy Metal Band music award, not sure why. They never seemed really heavy metal to me.

"Bursting out" remains one of fav Jethro Tull listening!!:) And Ian Anderson has had some really witty things to say.. They won the Grammy for Heavy Metal/Hard Rock performance in 1987 beating Metallica.. for the Crest of a Knave:0)
According to Wikipedia... in response to criticism to their award.. the band took out an advert in a British music periodical stating: "The flute is a heavy, metal instrument".

I would like to add this little tidbit I just noticed on the Tull Website.
Acoustic Tull CD Planned
EMI is intending to release the "Best Of Acoustic Jethro Tull" in March 2007 featuring some bonus acoustic tracks recorded live in concert.
How cool is that?

Well I can't say that I remember them, as I'm to young to have caught the actual band. However I do like their music, got a few of their albums on my iPod. I love music from that period.

You should check them out :) The band's pretty awesome ! :) I am tempted to say that one either likes them or otherwise doesn't care for their kind of music.. but those who like them are like lifelong die-hard fans..

Ian Anderson's flute play is just out of the world !! In Bursting out, he does a combo of flute play and humming.. which then blends into a full medley from the band... pretty good stuff !!

Oh, I raise my leg up to my knee for YES ;)
Everything they did was and still is good :) I was a bit sceptical when I got the concert with orchestra for 3 years ago, but when i heard the Bouree... Ian Anderson still got "it" (I only don't like their new guitar player)

I like the lead singer, Ian Anderson, myself. I like to watch him play the flute. I saw on one discussion that he stood on one leg and played some flute solos. I think that is HILARIOUS!!!!!!!

You may think that I'm strange and that what I'm about to say is strange, I had never heard of them until my dad told me about the group. When I heard them, I liked them. When I heard the song The Whistler, they became my favorite rock group.
