simve ive found out im pregnant, i have gone mad and brought lots of clothes and accessories for the baby. the time has come and my second scan is due, do you think it is right to find out if it is a boy or girl or do you think its supposed to be a secret many people have said to me find out and others say noo leave it and let it be a surprise. i think it'll be easier to find out but im not sure now because of others opinions.

Congratulations, me and my wife are kinda last minute people so when she was pregnant we weren't that interested in knowing if it were a boy or girl. Although I always thought I'd have a boy. I like suprises. Anyway turned out to be a girl - no problem for me either really, they'll get loved the same. A lot of relatives had bought us unisex colour clothes, it doesn't have to be baby blue, and pink for the girls.

We had loads of clothes given from people before bith, but they were colours either a girl of bou could wear, so no problems.

i agree about the colour scheme. so did you not have anything ready for your little girl when she was born then? i'd like a surprise but i feel i have to consider everyone. was it just the clothes that you had to wait for untill you knew?

Its good to know what you will have - boy or girl. Think about....how you will paint the baby room? which color you choose for clothes? you gotta have some things for your child when he/she is in your arms. :)

These days an ultrasound scan at between 16 and 22 weeks pregnancy can tell the baby's gender. I had a gender scan in my second pregnancy and they said I was having a baby boy. They were right because he is indeed a boy. In my third pregnancy I had two scans with the fetal medicine unit. The man doing the scan was used to finding all disabilities so I trusted me to tell me my baby's gender. He said I was having a baby girl and I asked the lady at my 20 week detailed scan and she said a girl as well. They were both right and I had my baby daughter. I know two ladies that were told at their 20 week detailed scan they were having a girl but they both had a boy. It can be lovely to find out to bond more with the baby but if a mistake it made it can be awful. One lady decorated the bedroom pink and bought lots of dresses. She couldn't believe it when a boy was born after that scan that had told her she was having a girl. She called her baby Robert and had to pretend it was Roberta whilst they saved up for blue paint and boys clothing. Good luck with your scan.

Hello! If I be a woman and be a pregnant I be very excited I definitely want to know If a baby be a girl a boy, but at the same time It is a good surprise. I think better keep It secreted. But, It is your choice you need to choice what to do, because It would be your baby. You can buy toys and other stuff who would fit for all gender. But, If there be a twins what then? I think you be a good mother and your husband would be a great father. Have a nice day!

Congratulations for the baby!I am 21 and never been pregnant but have told about this-would I want to know what the baby will be.And yes,I would like to know if it's gonna be a boy or a girl, not because it would make any difference, just because I am a very curious person. And I think it's really exciting to know what your baby is but I guess this could be just how I think.Surprises are cool too and in the end what really matters is to have a good pregnancy and a healthy baby!:)

Congratulations dear .... for me it does not matter either boy or girl as both are equal now a days. It is important as how you raise the kids, give them proper education and respect to others and good believes so that they can be good personality.

I would like to know because the only child I gave birth to was a girl and when I got married I wanted boys -but could not get married and had to adopt - boys of course. With me, if I had been able I would want to know because well I sort of hate yellow and would rather knit either blue or pink. So it would be because if the baby had my coloring he or she would hot look good in yellow or yellow green and it seems that is the type of clothes that newborns get if one does not know. but that would be the only reason -.

I think that these days it is lovely to ask what the gender is when having the 20 week scan. When I had my first pregnancy I wasn't able to find out if I was having a boy or a girl. The hospital would not let the parents-to-be know. The second time I was pregnant I went for a gender scan at 16 weeks. I was told I was having a boy. They didn't tell me a disabled boy and that was what I found out at 36 weeks pregnancy. The third time I was pregnant I had extra scans at the fetal medicine unit. I asked the man and he said at 16 and 22 weeks I was having a girl. The lady at my 20 week scan also said I was having a girl so I hoped I was. Both of them were right. I remember in that pregnancy buying baby coat hangers I got yellow but wished to buy pink. I love finding out the gender so I can bond with my baby. I can imagine her or him that much better and not have to say it. It can be he or she. It is wonderful to shop for girls clothing in particular. I know two ladies that at their 20 week scan were told they were having a girl but they both had a boy. I suggest you find out if you wish to. Keeping it a secret I say is called team yellow. I prefer to be team pink or team pink. Good luck with your scan.

Why should you? It is your baby, be it a girl or a boy what difference does it make. Forget about all the things - just pray that your unborn baby is safe. I would suggest you to do some "Baby Prayers" - check out a few of these prayers at "BabyPrayers dot com

With two of my pregnancies I did find out ahead of time. I could not wait to find out! Plus, a lot of people were helping me with getting things for the baby so they wanted to know what to get. I am glad I found out with the first 2. Our daughter was the first and our son was the second, with the 3rd pregnancy it was okay either way. So, I didn't find out with my last pregnancy but we had another girl =)
