Most of our lives we spend in valuing what we do not have .. why?

I was going back to office and saw a group of physically challenged children of a School. I was very emotional to see that some of them were not able to walk properly; some of them were struggling to express their views on the roadside when they have some opinion or any comments on things they see.
It was touching moment to see them, We will never realize how thankful we should be to the Maker for making us normal. When you see these children, their handicaps you begin to value what you have. Most of our lives we spend in valuing what we do not have .. and keep praying and trying to get what we do not have instead of being happy for what we already have.
Let’s value what we have.
Let’s not regret for the things that we do not have, keep trying with no regret.
Let's Be thankful to god for such a lovely life.
We think of luxury and things that are not of use but make us happy but if someone ask those physically challenged children about their wish and need – perhaps our and there need will not match as they do not have something which we normal people have.
Thank You God.

Hi leonard dog: I think there's nothing wrong when people want to be better. In fact I think that we always need to think about what should we do to make this a better world, how to improve things. The problem is, when we focus to much on the things we need and we forget about the things that makes us special, the gifts that God gave us everyday. Thanks for your answer. Have a nice day.

Well said Star, everyone want to make their life better and better everyday but focusing too much on anything is just not very good. One may have many things in life and want other things which they do not have but do not ignore the one that you already have.
Thank You for sharing.

yes you are right...people value what they dont have. first you need to be greatful for what you have than creat and image of what you dont have and attract such things in life. But if you always think of lack..you will always lack. If you think of problems you will attract more problems int life. It is wrong to value what you dont have, but we need to create images and attract it in our life.

Hi edward joy: I agree with you and this theory. We should work to attract possitiuve things in our life but if we concentrate on the negative things: problems, needs, bad situations instead of the things that we have and that could help us to improve our lifes we won't get anything positive on this behaviour. Thanks for your answer. Have a nice day.

awh that is so very touchy yeah you are right as we are usually so busy chasing over things that are not totally important or it might be important but doesn't require so much tension though! I don't why but may be coz this is what life meant to be! each a group has different ways for looking! like those disabled people are usually dreaming to have a normal life while we usually dream to have a huge expenses!
We should be thankful that we born with great mental and physical abilities!
thanks so much for sharing this subject here Ajay!! I like it and I should rate your topic as well!

I have pretty much the same philosophy in life. I tend to concentrate on what I have and what I do not. After all, nobody lives a perfect life. We all have our blessings and burdens..and these burdens are suppose to teach a lesson, an important lesson we have to learn in life before proceeding to the next. (I believe in the after life by the way). Anyway, I think it's a human nature that people always look for something that they do not have. Girls who are naturally tan want whiter skin, and white-skinned girls wish for a tan complexion. Ironic isn't. We all want what we don't have and when we get what we want, we always want more. I think it's a vain world. And only a few people come to realize that we need to change out attitude at things we can't have.

Life is not that big to run for everything possible so enjoy life with whatever we can do with maintaining our happiness.

Hi Ajay Singh Baghel: I think this is a human paradox. Humans are usuallt very materialistic so we focus a lot on the things we think we need to be happier, and the problem of this is that we forget the beautiful things that makes our life beter. It's a bad attitude because we generally don't value the things we have after we lost them. Thanks for starting this discussion. Have a nice day.

Yes, that is true. We are happy and want to be more happy, and in search of more happiness we forget current happiness.

I certainly agree with what you said Ajay! Valuing what we do not have would only make us more miserable and we suck. When we learn to value what we have then life becomes pleasant. The beauty of these physically challenged children is that they value what little they have physically as compared to us. Besides they always try to maximize whatever little they have.

yes, I will not say that they do not want more things in life but again happy with their current things. They struggle everyday for many things by their own and we are not happy for many other reasons.
Thank You for sharing.

My mindset is the same with you. You see, people take for granted what they already have. They thought that they are less privilege. But in reality, they are very lucky to be complete and to be alive. I believe that what we have is for our good. All people are blessed for what is good for them. Let us look closely around us, those who are physically challenged are actually a blessing to us all. Because they make us feel sorry for them and thus they teaches us how to care and appreciate what we have. God is kinder to those people who knows how to pity the lowly. If all are well and all are very fine, how will we be able to learn what's the real meaning of being kind towards the homeless or lowly. All things I believe happens for a reason. And whatever that reason is, it is for the good of those who loves God. Continue to have that good, untarnished heart AjaySinghBaghel. Pray always.

Thank you for all your good words.
We are human being and attracted to different things in life which is not available to all of us. it may be a good branded car or Ipad or anything similar which is not a necessity but a luxury for life.
I try to be positive and progressive however happy for what I have.
Thank You for sharing your nice thoughts.

Ajay, you are full of sympathy for the weak,so kind-hearted.Look at these physically challenged children and those disabled people, compare with them,we should be lucky to be normal.Even if we have nothing,at least ,we are complete.I admit some people may be lost in this vain world, they really do not know what they are chasing and what is happiness.Luxury is not equal to happiness.People always value what they do not have instead of thinking of what they already have, always complain. When we get something we want ,still we want more, never get satisfied. That is human nature -the desire of looking for something that we do not possess,i think. Then again,as progressive person,we all want to change our life to be better and better, that is normal. How to live happier and realize our own value is really what we need, and it all depends on our attitude towards life.
