It sound like a ridiculous topic, however allow me a few minutes to try to explain myself. While you think it might not be possible, why would someone pay to knowingly poison themselves, however millions around the globe are doing just that. The cigarette - contains up to 400 types of know poison and yet many people around the world are still knowingly smoking it and slowly poisoning themselves. So do you think this discussion is that ridiculous after all?

that is so disgusting and horrible. it's maybe because they do find smoking good for them disregarding the effect it has towards health.

hushi22 we are on the same page I guess, I do not understand why some people smoke, although my closest family used to smoke like my dad and my granny and many of my uncles. However I have manage to convince my dad and granny with the help of my brother and sister.

Its very sensible discussion...and yes...its fact that people are paying to poison themselves knowingly.....and to add to it...first they spoil their health by paying for this poison and when hey get deadly diseases like cancer etc..they pay big hospital bills to get well.....so shy go for this double payments...think before u smoke...what you r doing and where u r going

I wonder why are we wasting the money to do so, and in my country it is not cheap. it cost $11 per pack (about US $7.50) and people are still willing to pay for it. And you are right it is a double whammy.

There is this substance that makes you an addict when you smoke. It is that simple. The manufacturers are well aware of it and are literally living on blood money if you care about my opinion.

momof3kids, Now the funny thing is why are the allow to legally trade since it is something that harms lives. I guess it is too profitable to ignore, I just hope at one stage people would realize how much more harm it is contributing than money to be made.

akhileshnigam some of the heavy smokers have comment on how they have quited, so you might want to get some advice from the people here. perhaps you can have a more healthy life, and more money in the pocket.

I guess poison is a very tricky term...:) Haha... You could have just said KILL, but I guess this term is too much...:) Oh well enough of that... Of course I won't. I already know that it's bad for my health so why would I do such thing.I'm not guilty because I don't smoke and my drinking record is clean too...:)

mac_mac1221 I see that most of those who respond are mostly non smokers, I guess it would take some time before the smokers would come out to admit it. But we all do stuff that is bad for our health

I guess I would since I used to be a smoker. Some poisons are meant for good though. Like chemo. Its used to kill or poison cancer cells.

People get addicted to these habits at an early age. They only harm themselves in the long run.Smokers pose a danger to those around them as exhaled smoke if inhaled is more harmful.I feel smokers should take up some activity which they like to divert attention from smoking.

woodman321123, well I do not think I am that smart anyway, some of the smokers are really smart people include lawyers and professionals. it is one decision that baffles me is why they choose to smoke and harm their body and have to pay for it too. Do not sound like a smart move to me.

dsrp82, Some people think that are stronger and better that is why they would be able to kick the habit at any time but sadly 9 of 10 proof to be otherwise and they got addicted.
