I think we all come to a crossroads occasionally and really need to step back and look at the situation. Is it really that important of an issue? Are we sure of our stand on this particular subject? Are we really sure we want to be in for the long haul? These are all good questions we need to ask ourselves from time to time.

I have a friend from a fairly well-to-do family. In his student years, the family for into huge debt. Eager to save their home from foreclosure, he started work early in his life. Now at middle age, he always obsessed with finding ways to earn more money.
Do you think he should loosen up a bit?

Yes, it's a good question to ask whenever you're standing with a belief. Maybe the person we are referring to as "fanatic" really believe the he is right, not just plainly he can't change his mind or won't change the subject.

If you treat the person you admire just like a God already then that is fanatic. Other than that if you always justify wrong doings or even glorifying it that much then can be called as fanatic as well.

Every one will change their mind at any time as human mind won't be stable because we were dealing with different kinds people at different moment.
