are you afraid of blood?

One time, my teen-age son witnessed a surgical procedure and I was surprised that he told me that he nearly fainted seeing the blood. Being somebody from the medical field, I felt that it's ridiculous for someone to feel nauseated or to feel like he or she is fainting by seeing an oozing blood.
I wonder then, how much people don't feel good seeing blood? Quite funny that at times, grown-up men don't feel comfortable seeing oozing blood.
How about you, are you afraid of seeing an oozing blood? And what do you exactly feel or think when you don't feel good about it?
