why do people get addicted to facebook?

I think the main reason why some people get addicted to facebook, is because they dont have anything to do with their lives. That's the only thing that do, facebook, facebook, facebook. Maybe if these people will look for other things to do with their lives, they're not going to be addicted.

Hi there. Foremost and to be honest, I never had any interest in creating an account with either Friendster or Facebook or Myspace or any other social networking sites (except mylot). No offense meant okay. But I do know a lot of people who have accounts with them. They even urged me to create mine so we could check on one another's gigs or schedules. I must admit that Facebook seems interesting, as I have observed the users got so addicted especially to Farmville... that they would even sacrifice a few bucks in internet cafes just to be able to "harvest" their plants. But just recently, I heard from a Farmville addict that they are planning to launch another site which will topple over Farmville. I'm really not sure who are behind this scheme or which party is interested in a considerable share of internet traffic. Anyway, I do believe that you're quite a newbie here in this amazing community so I do hope that you'll enjoy mylot. God bless and regards.

From different type of views people use facebook - to talk. share photo, share news or information daily with family members living or working abroad - to get friends for life or for chatting for fun - to show the beautiful face to other peoples in home and abroad - to earn money selling products and other online income process - to increase knowledge and to know the rest of the worlds people and culture many many interest and views.

I personally think that it is the applications! The social aspect of the site would not be enough to make me visit several times a day I don't think. So for me, the games and applications are what makes me spend a lot of time on facebook at times. Many of the games you have to visit several times a day to check on stuff, so they always takes me back, when I am active in games. Although, I go through phases, sometimes I just stop playing for a while, either I forget or I just get bored with it.

Aside from being a social networking site, Facebook has a lot to offer to it's members. There are a lot of applications that attract members like Mafia Wars and Farmville.

I guess because in facebook, we were kept united with our friends and updated with what they doing especially when you don't get together as you used to. And of course, they have lots of games that you can enjoy.

WEll I am not and I don't find it that exciting. Its easy to upload photos that's all.

Its little bit of both. facebook is a nice social networking website and has some good applications. I am also registered on facebook and i used to chat with my friends there. But after registering on mylot i haven't logged in once there. Before facebook my space was the leading social networking website.
