I used to root for Spain in WC. But I really lift up the sportivity on a match. So, since I find out some strange things happened on the Spains victory, I quickly turn my back on them.
First, when David Villa made his only goal through Portugal. Clearly, on the pictures and video that appeared in all over the internet showed that Villa was offside before the goal was made. But the ref called it safe.
Second, when Spain faced Germany. Ramos deliberately stepped on Podolski foot with the intention to injured him. And after that, Podolski had a hard time on controling the ball, and it was fatal, since he is the main striker for German.
Again, from Ramos, he tackled Ozil near the penalty/on the penalty box. Ramos deserved a red card, and a penalty or free kick for Germany. But the Spain is free to go. Not to mention Spains other off side that easily ignored by the jury, and some tackles from Spain that also, Ignored by the ref.
So, I hate Spain now, and I will root anyone but Spain to win the WC. If you watched the game, what do you think ?? Don't be bias on the matter.

I am not sure if you have followed football for long enough to know that this happens all the time. Take the Brazil Holland game, Van Bommel kicked every Brazilian player literally out of the park, but did not even get booked!! On the other hand, Robben went down for everything and kept on winning fouls. So are the Dutch also cheaters. Then what about Uruguayans with the Suarez incident!! What about the Germans of the 1990s who used to play the "Robust" game as they used to call it!!
Nobody that I have spoken to think of Spain as cheaters. Every game has such ifsy butsy moments and that is the part and parcel of the game.
Cheers!

i know other team also did a bad thing, which I also hate, but they usually gets their punishment, or penalties. But Spain, the ref clearly taken their side, in their last 4 match, including the finals. Can't you see that before Andres get the ball from fabregas, or when Torres tried to pass the ball to Iniesta, Iniesta already offside, and still they won. WHen Uruguay made an offside goal agaist Spain, the reff canceled it. But why Spain got free not once, but twice??

I think you are not aware of the offside rule. You become offside only if while the final pass is played to you, you are in an offside position. When the final ball was played to Iniesta he was clearly not offside. The video evidence clearly pointed Mathisen to be clearly playing him onside.
And if you think the referee was on Spain's side, here are the statistics which you need to look at De Jong should have got a straight red for stamping Xabi Alonso on the rib cage, Van Bommel should have got a red card for persistent fouling, Robben should have got a second yellow and a red card for kicking the ball away for time wasting while on the Spanish side, Puyol deserved to be sent off for the tackle on Robben. So the way I see it the referee was way on the Dutch side than the Spanish side!!
Cheers!

Really?? I didn't realize that..
I was actually rooting for Brazil, but since they were no longer in the semi-finals, it's left to the two giants; Spain and Netherlands. I am rooting for Spain because Netherlands defeated Brazil, but since you have said like this.. wow.. didn't know it at all.. so I'll just say let the fairest team win for this 2010 Fifa World Cup. I'm all for fair playing too..

With the exception of the accusation that Ramos purposefully stepped on Podoski's foot the rest are not examples of Spain cheating. That is football, pretty much in every game you watch there are missed fouls, off sides, disallowed penalties and goals which are the fault of the officials and not the teams. To say that Spain cheated because they scored whilst offside is to say that every single team cheats.
As for the foot stamping incident, well if it was intentional then yes that is cheating, but at the same time there are at least a dozen incidents where other teams, including Germany have had players look like they have intentionally gone to hurt a player in a tackle. It is again part of football and to be honest the only person who knows whether it was a deliberate foot stamp is Ramos.
And before you question my loyalties, I am English and think the Germans outplayed us, so there are no sour grapes.

No one has the right to call a team a cheater during the game except the referee and the umpires. And it's normally backed by proof. To call the jury corrupt is another mistake. Punish then the referee and the umpires if you may.
Things you mentioned here happen all the times. I should think it does in every sports. For any match a win, loss or draw is declared by the referee. At the end of the day that is, Victory is what counts.
As I congratulate both Spain and Holland to have reached the finals, I have hopes that Spain would return home with the coveted prize, the champion of FIFA World Cup 2010. Good Luck Spain!

Yes, all the times. But not with the same team almost on their every WC match. This is clearly not the first time. Iniesta goal against Holland was also an offside. If you watch the vids, you can see he was offside when TOrres tried to passed the ball to him, and failed, then Fabregas made the safe passed. Check it on you tube.Besides, Iniesta should get a red card for lashed out a Dutch player with no ball.

I think that off sides are down to the linesman and referee. No team would own up to being off side and it is very hard for the players to know for sure that they are.
If a player deliberately goes out to injure another player then they should be punished. Free kicks have been awarded wrongly or not awarded when they should have done for years, it is part of the game.
I for one hope that Spain win the world cup.

I think your way of thinking is very wrong every team will win by his talent and work so you are not a match umpire and not a any kind of legal person who says Spain is a cheater I think Latin American and Brazil team is cheater so I am not a legal person to say this so how you can judge that team is cheater or not

I've seen more weird decisions and behaviors from players. Felipe Melo of Brazil who goes completely loco on each and every referee decision and player tackle. Referee asking a player whether he handballed, you don't ask a player such questions, that's a basic mistake, really. In the first round a lot of cards were given and later on they contained the amount of cards given.
Also, Sepp Blatter, head of the FIFA is one heck of a corrupt person. Some referees are from countries that don't even play acceptable football. He probably does that to get voted on in the next election. He's also trying to halt any technical development so as to ensure he or another FIFA official is capable of controlling the match.

Amidst all the bad calls in this years world, Spain keeps on winning even when playing below standards. But the best has not yet shown until they play Germany. I think on that game the Spaniards established domination against the taller and heftier German squad. Spain played superb but the Germans were not as impressive on that game. Not impressive to the fact that they they did not show their aggressiveness as what they have demonstrated of the match against Argentina.

There might be many bad calls in the finals. But be rest assure that football karma will make sure that all will be even out. Remember how France qualified for the finals? They will send packing home in the group stage. Second, Germany. They have a legimate goal score against them which was not given. They went out in the semis. Argentina offside goal against Mexico and out they go against the Germany. If what you say about Spain is right, they will pay for it at the grandest stage of them all, the final.
