I mean, is your blood pressure high? or above the normal 120/90 range?
I will 40 next year and I am not fat. But since being high-blood runs genetically in our family, I am into it. It was just a few days ago that I discovered that my blood pressure rose to 140/100. That was alarming!

I am sorry to hear that . Commonly , people are not high blood pressure who are not fat in this age . But you are not lucky . I suggest that you should take pills every day , and take more exercise . I think that can help you to reduce your blood pressure .

My blood pressure gets high some times, especially when I eat some salty food. Some of the food at the restaurants are very salty, and I have to be very careful with those. I have to take the medicines to keep the blood pressure under control. In 140/100, the 100 is a bit alarming. You need to be careful with the food you take.

My blood pressure is normal, sometimes maybe a little bit lower than normal. Besides the weight, in fact the blood pressure has a relationship with the diet. If you have a high blood pressure, I suggest you not to eat so salty food. Less salt will be good for you.

hi doris,
It was alarming if after numerous blood pressure monitoring count, the reading rises above normal average but if it happened to be once or seldom, I guess though your family have that genetic illness, it is not an assurance of a 99% chances acquiring that illness, if you have maintained series of preventions in having such.
There are many causes why some people have high blood pressure count. It is how they manage their lifestyle especially working in stressful activities and severe mental depressions that affect their supposedly healthy life. There are some people who have no genetic disorder, but still acquired that illness.
I suggest with your awareness to make extra awareness and prevention about that condition. Considering that your age is at risk and all the factors that may contribute in having it in your body. Healthy lifestyle and exercise is best and eating nutritious foods that is more of less fat, not more on carbohydrate, preservative foods and more on fruits that act as anti-chemical agents in destroying those free radicals in your body.
HAppy mylotting.
