What kind of teacher is excellent teacher?

Excellent teacher is accepted by most of the students at school.The students hope that their teacher is excellent.Usually,excellent teacher have many advantages.Such as care about students,deep knowledge.The most important is the students love to listen to their lessons.
What kind of teacher is excellent teacher?Please share your opinions.

Those that care for the students are really excellent. I've had one teacher before that would really seem to be not contented if almost all of us have not passed the quiz or exam. He will eventually get back to that particular topic so that we will understand the topic further.

Hi Pals,
This is a good topic and thank you for it.
All i have to say that a teacher should mold us in the best way. i did have a tutor when i was 10 years who always made sure that we all do our best and she even went that extra mile to make sure that all students in class did understand better.
She used to even hold free classes as opposed to others to make sure that we all understood what we were learning in class. moving from one student to another to make sure that we all understood.
I can also recall when i was around 7 years or so, my nursery school teacher used to even take as us home and personally invite parents to see their children's progress in school even before the school did on their official day.
My senior teacher at elementary gave us gifts for those who worked hard and did her proud by passing exams[may God rest her soul in eternal peace].
Most of my friends say they will mary teachers as they take good care of their children as they did to them when they were young. i kind of agree to that too..!

I once wanted to marry one of my teachers before. ISn't it cute when a child asks a teacher to mmary her/him? Well, when an adult wants to marry a teacher, sometimes they really want those that really looks over their own children than their students. Sometimes teachers are so busy in school that they overlook over their own children.

A good teacher is one that goes far beyond the material that they are going to teach. They really make learning an experience that you need to engross yourself into, rather than a process. They make you look forward to each and every class that you are in, rather than dread it. They are able to help the students and to adapt.
Any teacher can give homework, tests, and assign reading, while putting notes on the blackboard. In fact, I could do that. It takes a really good teacher to really teach the subject and make sure that their students get the absolute most out of their subject period. An excellent teacher is one that makes learning a truly interactive experience. Sadly, those teachers are few and far between but I have been blessed by a couple that are like that. Still far too many just go through the motions and get their paycheck.

A teacher sharing the best knowledge with students is a excellent teacher.For this he must be well prepared and should gather wide knowledge.Teacher who is friendly,good counselor and the teacher whom the students can discuss freely without fear is an excellent teacher.

Great teachers are those who love to teach and cares for the welfare of their students. teachers must teach with passion so their students will love to study and eager to learn more. Passionate teachers does not mean they need to be so kind, they also need to be strict and firm while teaching in order for the student to respect them. Teachers needs to have an in depth knowledge regarding the subject they are to discuss. In short, great teacher is passionate, thoughtful, and kind yet strict and knowledgeable.
