Hello, Ehsanji, and welcome to MyLot. For me, a quality discussion is one that asks an interesting question, or gives some background to the topic, so that you have plenty to think about.
Topics like 'do you like tea or coffee?' are not really interesting, as there's not much to discuss, and it's a poll type discussion which will probably be deleted anyway. If you said. 'I like coffee, but I've been told not to drink it for health reasons. Is there anything you like but can't have? How do you feel about it?' that's a quality discussion, because it gives responders something to think about.
Make sure you comment back on your responses to extend the discussion. For instance, if someone said they couldn't eat cheese, and found it difficult not being able to eat it, you could share how you managed to avoid the cravings.
The fact that you want to make quality discussions means you probably will. Concentrate on making quality posts and the earnings will soon mount up. Good luck.

hi ehsanji what I feel makes a discussion good is to make clear what you are discussing as if we c annot understand it we will not know how to reply. So many are afraid to use enough words and sentences to make it
clear what in the world they are talking about. Remember when making your discussion that we are from all over the world so if you name say a favorite television program that you love, and that you get on your television in say Brazil, others from different parts of the world may or may not get that same program, so at least tell us that its a television series on such and such a channel then those who do get it can know what 'you are talking about. I have passed up many that I may have enjoyed responding to simply because I did not understand the discussion. Sometimes just a few words would clear up all the confusion and garner a lot of responses.

Well, I would imagine that posts are more than a couple of lines would be considered to be a good quality. I mean a post that is just one or two lines, that really does not add anything to the posts. Therefore, the posts really need to be at least four or five lines I would think to be considered a good quality discussion. At least that's what I read. A good solid paragraph in other words.
Other than that, it is really pretty much up for debate what should be considered quality. There is a lot of interesting criteria. Perhaps one person's quality post would be another person's so-so or horrible post. However, a decent length, nothing too long, but nothing really short, seems to be the most accurate foundation to build on for quality posts. At least that's the way it appears to be from where I am sitting.

For me a 'good quality discussion' will have an eye catching title and the original post will be descriptive enough to make me want to read it and respond.
It will get plenty of responses to which the creator of the discussion will join in.
This will then end up in us being able for us to have a 'discussion'rather than just a question and answer session as often happens.
