Do you think that the Da Vinci Code is true?

Maybe it is simply a fiction, and the author just imagine a good story to tell to people. I don't read the book, and I don't know much of the history fact about Jesus Christ myself. I only watch the story, and it is full of conspiracy though. I don't know if it is a truth, if it is. Is there really a secret society that really acting on something else though?

I have seen the film many times, but confess I have not read this particular work of Dan Brown's. I have read all of his other works & seen one other film of his. None of these complex issues are fictitious at all! Some of the world's greatest Theologians, Christian & other Bible Scholars have successfully, logically & coherently argued for centuries in favour of these very things! Their findings, both from a historical & archeological perspective, have been published & reiterated over & over again since the Reformation & in secret before that time. The Catholic Church's own Vatican Archives alone contain all the proof anyone will ever need. This is but the tip of the iceberg & it should serve to encourage the reader / viewer to further their own research on these matters as a matter of urgency. What are your thoughts on the matter?

It is an excellent work of fiction based on some facts and some myths which is exactly what the bible is but it is a better read than the bible

It's not true. The secret society of the Priori of Scion did not exist in the first place, so the rest follow. As per most of the Bible scholars believe that Magdalene is nearly senior woman who is known in her place, probably rich, intelligent and respected. Magdalene the prosti.. who was possesed w/ a demon spirits is untrue because according to them demon spirits connotes illness or diseases.

there are evidences that the royal bloodline is true because actually, the da vinci code is based on real authentic documents. well, i am not saying that the whole thing is completely real, but it can be.yet, if you are a catholic and you have great faith in what you believe in, then there should be no doubts in your head.

I think is true ,because it is based on facts.But the book is much better than the movie :)

The first time I read the book I was shocked of the revelations and even confused myself to it. I dont know which is which is now especially what is really happening right now. There are lots of facts written and should I say that Dan Brown is really researched on those facts. Everybody had commented on the book especially the Catholic and even an ordinary people who have read the book. But what important is our faith to God that there is one God who made all this things we live in. I myself was confused too but what is true is what we believe in. If the author has many explanations, revelations then so be it. This is only my opinion.

There was a review in the readers digest.The review says its not factually correct and goes on to give several reasons.I tend to believe it.I don't feel its true, i feel its a clever way of twisting known facts.

I believe its fiction mixed with facts and made a nice novel, though i dont believe all in it as true.

I still haven't finished the book and REFUSE to watch the movie until I do so. lol

I have also read the book and have also seen the film. In my opinion, stories are based on facts. You have to do a lot of research to come up with a very convincing novel. And this isn't just any novel or made up fiction. The book is actually more informative than the movie. Full of explanations that you really have to think if it's really true and Dan Brown has convinced me that it maybe that way. But how good Dan Brown writes his story still leaves more questions than answers. And the truth is for us to find out.

perhaps it's true story on half side but fiction on half one...afterall,Davinci code is very good story.. happy mylotting...

it's the best book ever i read, about the truth of this book is that everything is back on the reader he.. he.. ^_*
