It was very cool..We all knew that it is going to rain heavily. It was my turn to go and bat..Actually we are playing Cricket in a small ground nearby my home..So I went to bat and next minute it rained heavily..I was upset because we all went inside my friend's house..We waited for sometime but it never stopped..So I said common we will play in Rain..Some said Ok that will be great and some said no...
At last we pulled out everyone and we started playing..I played some six balls and didn't even touch a single..All were missing because it is raining heavily and no one could play normally. Then I decided this will be last ball either a six or bowled...My friend bowled and I'm ready to go and with full power I swing the bat...I didn't hit the ball , the keeper didn't catch the ball , it went behind him..and my bat which I was holding was at bowlers end..It got slipped off from my hand..Luckily nothing happened to my friend since he was standing at the bowlers end..All were laughing ,me too because I said either it will a six or bowled but nothing happened..We all laughing and rolling in the ground itself..we all became nasty and started pushing each other in the water...We enjoyed till it got dark and left after sometime..
Then I thought playing in hot is not much fun..I really thinking the whole day about that..I won't forget this moment...Even in my college days we play football in Rain..It is a great fun..
Have played in rain ? Do you really love playing in Rain..?

Hiya gany,
Now that is something I would like to do myself play cricket or any other game come to think of it in the Rain. Just the ocasion has not come up yet (grin). I did like to play in the Rain when most kids would run inside the House I was out playing in the Rain. I will go most places without an Umbrella as the Rain itself does not really bother me. I am from Great Britain you are either used to rain by now or not and I am. I like to sit outside on the Stair when it has just started to Rain as well. I never got into much mud though but I did get soaking wet and never came to any harm. Sounds like you had real fun there.

I am not really familiar with cricket, but it certainly sounds like you all had a lot of fun. I do like walking in a warm rain, not a winter rain. If there is thunder and lightening nearby it is not safe, either. I can just imagine all of you rolling around in the mud, and laughing and having a really good time.

I have played soccer in the rain and although in hot weather the rain feels cool, the fact is it can get very muddy and when you get hit hard with the ball, it hurts more if the ball is wet and muddy. I would prefer if the day is hot that the sky be overcast but not raining. But then, I never played cricket.
