During the time you are spending here on this planet, do you find yourself hoarding or storing up items? Items of value or items that you are afraid of running out of. Is your garage so full of items that you think that you will use or need some day that you cannot park any of your vehicles in it? Another human nature trait? At my work place there are people who stock pile items we use. There is no way that they could use them in a month, but there it is stashed around their area. They walk by the supply area 3 times a day, so it is not like the items are out of there way to go get. It makes the person who takes inventory work harder because they have to go search out the items that are hoarded in order to take an accurate inventory. My mother was a hoarder before she went to nursing home. Saving and hoarding all kinds of things that will never get used in a lifetime. Much time wasted. For this reason I have vowed to never hoard, but I still find that I have the desire, usually when shopping. I see people hoarding things when they are out shopping and then the desire passes. How about you,if you do hoard things, what do you like to hoard?

Don't we all have some of this in us?? The problem comes when we need the saved item, we can never find it among all the other stuff we saved. I am better than I used to be. I do find that the worst thing that can happen is if they run out of an item at the grocery store. I won't do without that item again. I'll stock up. Then the store never runs out again after that.Hmmm??? A friend told me the solution. When you hoard, put it in boxes. After a year if you find a box you haven't opened and do not know what is in it, don't open it just throw it away. You will never miss it.

A person that hoards can be a major problem. My boyfriends mother is a major hoarder and you can barely walk in her home and she has a gigantic house. She saves an outrageous amount of Junk. I mean who needs 4 refrigerators when you live alone. Who needs a three piece set of couches in your living room then have like ten chairs also in the same living room.
Wow, I had to move for the first time this year form a two floor family home, which I owned for 21 years so I had 21 years of livable stuff in my house, wow that was a project to evacuate and get rid of things.
I can't imagine being a hoarder and trying to clean out. Wow!

Habit of hoarding is natural and inborn with some people who are too much attached to things that give them a feeling of security and superiority. Inventory management is an art as well as science. We find some people who even carry forward their childhood dresses, toys and craft materials to their adulthood.Everyone,in someway or other,is a living archive of things that they value. For me, I do like to possess too little old stuffs and am always in the move of replacing and refilling my space with new and different articles that my mind searches out. However, I have a great passion to keep stocking of books and journals of my choice, interest and related to my profession.
