The internet affects my studying a lot. I almost thought I couldn't get through my freshmen year because i had a laptop. Whenever I wanted to study, I found myself on youtube looking for a song or checking my e-mail or Facebook. I'm not sure if it would be better without a computer but it was so hard concentrating on textbooks when I know I could do something fun on the internet.

HI!
See..... I don't really think that internet affect my study. First of all in modern age people are mad for study and just forgot every other thing. I use net mainly for earning and playing. And also net help me to generate information on my exam.
SO, internet is really helpful!

Internet is really useful if you know how to use it. It all depends on how your parents also take it. My mom considers Internet a curse but she talks to my dad everyday using skype. So in a way its really good. However if you get too much addicted to it like me then you would find it hard to have concentration on other things in life. I never really used to study much after i came to hear about such sites like mylot and more. I always spend as much time as i can on these sites waiting for my payout. I have never received any money yet so far so i am quite concerned if my efforts are gonna pay off or not.
Good day!

I really think on this occasion that it depends on the person. As some people said in earlier comments, they find that they can get too easily distracted when on the internet and consequently deviate away from doing work. However, others (myself included) believe that the internet can be a great study tool whilst also being used for other things such as facebook.
I believe that perhaps it is down to the characteristics of the person as to whether the internet is a help or not. Someone who is easier to distract will obviously begin to get distracted by things other than work whilst on the internet.

I am so glad that during my time when I was still studying, internet is not everywhere or else I will be spending most of my time in internet cafes. I only make use of the internet when I research on something. And that's really helpful for me. I think that's a wise way for students to do in order to balance time between surfing the net and studying.

Certainly I think surfing the net has something to do with the studies. To someone it brings some good effect but to the others, things is opposite. It depends on how you make use of the Internet. When I was a undergraduate, I suffered from surfing the random to waste time while I needed to finish my homework. But sometimes I also benefited from the Internet's convenience .

No,in fact it is helping me in studying.I am a computer science student and being on the internet helps me to improve your knowledge. It just depends on the person how they use the internet, you can visit websites like Wikipedia and blogging to improve your knowledge or you can also visit p*** sites, socializing websites to degrade it.I always search for the links where i can get more information about my subjects.

absolutely not.i surfed the net a lot when i was in college but most of the time i really need it in helping me to finish the assignment as my major subject is information technology.what else to do except browsing and googling the information in the internet aside designing and capturing.that is what the IT student do anyway.
