It seems to me that as I'm getting older (I'll be 36 yrs old soon) the weeks are shrinking and they go very fast one after another. A week seems to be a day, a month like a week, and the general feeling I have is that life is realy very shot :( It looks like the time is compressed and I feel I cannot change anything. Do you have the same feeling ? I have a wrong perception of time ?

Hello adrian
When we're children summer lasts forever, Christmas is eons away, a munute is an hour.
As we get older, time seems to fly by. I really don't know why. Maybe we just realize that all things end. Maybe we just get more patience. Maybe we are afraid that time is passing us by.
One thing I do know...time wasted is time lost, never to come back. Don't waste time...enjoy the little things. Make every moment count in some way...you know the old saying, "time flies when you're having fun" seems to be all too true.
You can't change it, it can't be slowed or speeded up, so just take it as it comes.

Very well said.
I guess as a kid there's not much to worry about so you have plenty of time to play and have fun.
But when you're an adult you have responsibilities you need to attend to, and you feel you have less time to enjoy life.

Yes, I do feel the same thing too. If you will be 36, I am already 38. How time flies? I could still remember my younger years and my university years...how I struggle to complete my studies, having fun with friends, catching movies between lecture hours, how I went on a first date with my husband and all those memories. Those moments actually took place like almost 16-17 years ago. My goodness, time does fly...and very fast too. Its like with a blink of an eye and we are year going almost 40. A week ago I went out with an old friend and we discussed the same issue. And don't worry you are not alone having this kind of feelings.
