Kevin Durant is one of the best players in the NBA. The 21 year old received MVP votes last year while leading the Oklahoma City Thunder to the playoffs a great turnaround from their previous season.
Durant has said how much he enjoys playing in Oklahoma City and signing an extension is proof of that. What's nice is Durant, is a quiet humble player who tweeted the signing to his fans and kept it low key. He never tries to upstage the team, and constantly speaks of the team and not his individual accomplishments.
Kevin Durant may one day be better then Lebron James, but he'll never say that, because he's not that kind of player. The league needs more young players like Kevin Durant in the league. A player who cares about his team and puts the team first.

Talk about being humble. Kevin Durant is really one of those players who does things simply, humbly, no fuss or whatever unlike some free agents this summer .
A player like KD is is somewhat rare in the NBA. He is 2nd in MVP voting last season and he deserves all the accolades for leading Oklahoma as a team to beat and a playoff contender last season and hopefully the next.
Best of luck.

I agree the NBA should focus on a player like this as an example of what an NBA player should behave like. Durant isn't motivated to leave Oklahoma City for a larger television market, increasing his sponsorship money, he wants to build a winning team for Oklahoma City and that's very admirable.

I think he focuses mainly on his game. Being humble can bring you to the promised land. I guess if he will sustain this characteristic, he will become a top player soon.
