My soon to be 5 year old wants a 4 wheeler theme. I really don't have a big budget so I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how i can make the cake, like design wise. How I can decorate? What activities the kids can do, like crafty stuff, and if we were to wear something to relate to the theme how should we dress?? I am even thinking about making his invitations, do you have any cool ideas on how I should do them? The person with the best ideas will get the best comment. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!

Cake: 2 ways: Use a square cake pan and two round ones. Bake the cake cutting out for the set and handle bars when it is using the round one cut in half for the tires, second bake the cake and use toy four wheelers on top. You can even use some dry choclat cake mix to the dirt that the four wheelers are playing on. Activities: Get some large boxes, and some papers plates, markers, glue and stringer. Let them take the box and desigh their own four wheeler, add the paper plates to the side as wheels. Cut the bottom of the box out, use the string to create a harness, and let them have races. You can even buy place ribbons at a dollar tree to give out. I would wear biker things, that most important thing would be the helmet and maybe knee pads. But maybe some "muddy" jeans and a flannel top with boots. Those are the best I could come up with... I hope they at least give you a base idea.

Hello Well, deciding a theme for the party is very important. See what your son likes the most. If he likes something like transformers, it would be difficult to choose that as a theme. But, the problem many times is that kids love a lot many things and they are too many to narrow it down to a single one. What you can do is choose his favorite color and use that a part of the theme. The tablewares could be red for instance and the balloons could be of a complimentary color. This should also take care of the decoration part. Many kids are active in sports or are avid fans of them. Whether they are soccer stars or a hockey heed, that is a great start to kid birthday themes and can make decorating and coordinating everything much easier. Also, most kids have a favorite show/cartoon or someone that they admire. Using that to develop kid birthday themes is pretty easy to do, unless of course the child loves Einstein above all others. And now coming to one of the most important things- CAKE- with a little artistic talent and a small arsenal of squeezable icing applications, it's easy to put together a terrific birthday cake using a simple sheet cake as a backdrop. Like for example, for a cowboy birthday cake, scroll on a lasso and add cowboy spots and a cowboy hat, and for the Spidey fan try drawing a web on a field of red and blue. You can also use a combination of rectangular and round baking pans to create shaped cakes, such as train birthday cakes or a butterfly birthday cake. Frost with colored icing and decorate with candies, sprinkles or non-edible decorations. Hope this helps! :)
