Have you ever tried to play the guitar?

I play the guitar (I have for over a year and a half) and greatly enjoy it. I was curious to find some fellow guitar players on MyLot. If you do play guitar tell why you enjoy it. If you've ever tried, then tell why you tried to play guitar and why you stopped.
For me I enjoy playing the guitar because I can use it to worship God, as I lead worship at church. I tried the guitar so that I could try and play some of my favorite songs at the time, and I haven't stopped!

i have played for 6 and a half years. its very fun but hard. alot of people start and quit becasue they cant play songs as soon as they pick it up. it takes time to learn how to read music build muscle memory and learn techniques. dont stop playing! good luck

Like you, I really enjoy playing the guitar. I love the harmonious sounds and the individual sound the strings produce. I played it for 2 years, but I stopped because of some ridiculous reason which was caused by my bestfriend. Bummer, I know and I just resorted to playing other instruments instead. But if you asked me, I really missed playing my guitar. And I would love it if I could get my hands on a new one. =)

My brother tried and I tried too :P :D
I didn't like it that much.. I prefer playing games and listening to music :D :D
