So, has any of you tried to use deep freeze or are you using deep freeze right now? Deep Freeze is a software which makes everything you do in your system disappear after turning it off. It is sort of like an automatic reset button of your system whenever you turn it off. The good side about it is that you are quite protected from any kind of malware since every malware that goes into your system is erased completely after rebooting your sytsem.
There is a downside to this though since you would not be able to keep your files and data unless you transfer it to an external HD or a flash drive or the like. So what are your thoughts?

I used to. This software is really needed for everbody who use internet daily. We never know when our antivirus miss some virus, and then destroy our beloved computer.
I create other partition to save my data, like D:\ for example.
But now I found shadow deffender, and it's better than deepfreeze... I suggest you to try this one...

Could you explain more about this shadow defender? I am only familiar with deepfreeze since it is the only one famous of its kind right now.

hi. where i worked, all computers are installed with this software. we have to save our files in our accounts server to avoid deletion or lost of files. however, it's not 100% perfect. the network admins still battle viruses here and there. but still a great precaution, than none at all.

I think they would only receive the virus on the server where you keep your files since I guess that system unit is not using deep freeze since it can keep your data. I don't think any kind of virus would be useful after rebooting your system if you have deepfreeze since it would be erased then completely out of your system.

well its another program that do the same thing. but i believe that only computer shops should use it because personal computers have files that you dont want to be erased/removed

It is very effective. To use it comfortably, you should create 2 partitions. 1 for your system files and one for your personal files. You can let deepfreeze protect one partition only so you can actually save your work. I did this and it worked very well. Everytime I had a computer problem, I just restarted my computer and it was gone.

When you installing deep freeze, you can choose which drive that you don't want to freeze because you want to save your files in drive. Don't worry, as long as your C drive is deep freeze, you will never get virus and other bad things.
