online dating... is it really effective in finding your long term partner?

its about those online dating sites whose only purpose is to fullfil your dream of having a partner , but the big question is... can it be a help in finding a serious and dedicated partner?

In my personal opinion, I don't think so. I would think that anyone that is seriously looking for the real thing is going to go out and talk to somebody face to face. Not message someone on the computer. Plus it's more dangerous because anyone can be whoever they want on a computer (in real life too..but its way easier on the computer) so you really won't know who your dealing with.

There are people who find their true through online dating. Destiny do not choose who and where will you meet the one for you. You will just feel it abruptly.
