Do you still go to church on Sundays?

Me and my family still go to church every Sunday. It's our way of thanking God for all the blessings he had given us and also our way to ask for forgiveness. If the whole week is already devoted to work, we make sure that Sunday is devoted to God and to family. Many, people I know of rarely go to church anymore. They only do if it's Ash Wednesday, Easter and Christmas eve. I still think it's still best to visit church and go to mass every Sunday. I still believe in the saying that 'The family that prays together, stays together.'

I won't blame you. When I was in the UAE, I couldn't go to church at all. I only had Fridays off and it was the only time I can do my laundry. And during the years 2007 to 2008, traffic was so bad and it was hard to get the number 3 bus to church. We tried but bus wait normally range from 2 to 3 hours to and from church. I couldn't afford to get a cab. It's just in the year 2009 when buses became easily accessible and I get to ride C18 to church in about thirty minutes.
But now that I am finally back in the Philippines for good, I watched Sunday Mass on tv a few months after my operation. And finally, after I recovered, I go to church to hear mass every Sunday.

I admire that! I think it's also good to pray before and after meals. We often forget to do that. Thanks for reminding.

i very rarely go on sundays, i like to go during the weekdays for a one on one, and just sit back and talk about all sorts of things to him in-between praying. i figure GOD is everywhere so a church isnt needed in all the time. i was raised catholic went to catholic school and like going, but not with all the babys crying, and kids running around on sundays, i like it quiet when im in church.

Yes I go to church every Sunday. Spending an hour with God is I think not enough but our Lord is contented with that. As a Catholic, I believe that Sunday is an important day for our Lord.

Yes, I believe so myself. If God takes care of us 24/7, what is an hour of going to church on Sundays to pay respect and to thank him for all the blessings that he had given. I think it's out appointment to be with God.

What is the church?
For me it's just a building.
I made a temple of God in my heart, i don't need the building. I pray alone and thank God alone, deep in my heart every time i can do it.
I don't go to the church even in the holidays like Eastern, Christmas. I don't need to show my love for God on other people. It's just for me and Him.

I used to when my mother was still with me. Now, I don't but I attend this Sunday service of the youth gathering I've joined. It doesn't change or promote any religion but rather change of one's lifestyle and promotes having a good relationship with God...:D I only go to church during my birthday...:D

That is supposedly the practice as being a Catholic and even with other religious sectors. In a week we should spend that one day (although few hours only)to go to church. I am guilty about this because lately, I wasn't able to do it consistently. Whenevery my husband is at home during Sundays, that's the only time we go to mass on Sundays. But we make is a point that if we are at home, we just watch TV mass and also pray together as family before meal time or before sleeping.

Yes I do. Even though i cannot convince all my family to go with me every Sunday I'll make it a point that i could go alone because my whole week is not complete if I cannot make it and for me it is one way of how I can praise, worship and thank GOD not only for the blessings that HE had given us but because we are HIS servants so all of us Christians must know how to Glorify the LORD.

I try to go with my sister. I belive our spiritual life is the most important. We can try all the week in our job but in Sunday we have to think of our soul.

Not much due to my job which demands a lot. And this is a good question for me. Maybe this is what I'm missing. I've forgotten to thank Him for all the blessings He gave me. That's why maybe some of them are taken away. I'll try to find a way to do this, go to church and ask for forgiveness and give Him thanks as well.

Hi there again santosmarichris.
Sundays for me was just any other ordinary day when I was a kid. Growing up, me and my family seldom had these Sunday church and family day happenings. I can say we never really had this strong religious bond. But I am not an agnostic, for that matter. I still do believe in the Holy Trinity. I had this perception before that as long as I did good, never harmed anyone, be thankful everyday, that would be fine. And I still do have that perception.
But now that I have two kids, for no reason at all I started bringing them to church during Sundays. I do not think that I needed to bring them there. When I did started to go to mass with them, when I started listening to the gospel, it made my feeling through the week lighter even with all the problems around.
Back then, my family may have not been strongly bonded with God, now I am discovering that it is helpful to let your own family (my kids) know you want them to learn about God through yourself and the church.
So, Yes. I, we still go to church on Sundays.

yes we are because that's the only day we can near Christ as a Christian to ask forgiveness with our sins, to ask help and more blessings,. Fail to attend mass on Sundays is a mortal sin.
