If we can upgrade our computers, electronics and the likes we sure can upgrade our looks. When was the last time you had your hair done? Is it still the same style way back from where you can remember? lol... (Check out your pics to find out.) How about your clothes? Do you still own that shirt that is way back from the 80's, come on now??? (So, you say but it's vintage) haha... How about your make up? Is it pass a year already since you bought a new one, that thing is expired already. You need a new one. I believe that we all have to upgrade our looks. If we look good then we feel good, and if we feel good then we are more confident.

Hi there santismarichris.
Honestly I haven't done a full makeover for a very long time. You see I am a mother of two kids and being around them, you tend to spend all your time with them and rarely dwell on my personal look.
Maybe the last time I bought something for myself was when I was pregnant. C'mon, we know that is far from a makeover. It was for my pregnant state. Now that I'm back o my old body, I'm thankful though that I remained slim even after gaining some when I was pregnant, I still haven't upgraded my looks.
Outer beauty too is important to feel confident and presentable. I will be able to that major makeover soon. But for now, I am just keeping it simple, neat, and clean.
=)

The last time I had my hair done was April and that was almost 4 months ago. I just had a keratin treatment because my OB does not recommend having a rebond during pregnancy. However, I'm planning to have one after I give birth this August. I don't wear make up that much.
My wardrobe as of now is composed of mostly maternity dresses. However, I'm planning to dispose all the clothes that I have before I got pregnant and then have a new set after I give birth. I love to shop online. In fact, I already started shopping online and a new cream elegant cocktail dress is on it's way. The shipper said I'll get it next week. I know it's too early for me to shop for clothes since I'm not sure if I'd be back to my size 23 waistline once I give birth but it's my way of setting my mind that I need to be back to size 23 in a month time and that's a goal I need to achieve.
I agree with you that we have to look good always to feel good. This is very true specially at work. In fact, you also have to dress according to your position in the company. If you want to look smart specially if you have a position in the company then you can't look sloppy. You have to dress well because there are times that you have to meet the client and higher bosses unplanned. That's why you always have to be prepared.

Bullseye! Honestly, your post hit me bullseye! Hahaha I love buying stuffs that are computer related -- and I'm telling you, I find it so easy spending about such and other gadgets.
Just last week, I saw this cute, red rubber coated external hard disk which is being promoted as shockproof. I really liked it the moment I saw it and since I've been thinking of buying a new back-up storage I bought it instantly -- even if it's a bit expensive for me.
But come to think of it, the last time I visited the salon was late February. My hair is still the same style from way, way back -- I always wear it long. Anyway, I had it rebonded during that last visit but I felt like I've spent too much on it that I decided to stay away from salons for a while. Hahaha Well, thank you very much for your reminder because my hair needs some trimming now and a good hot oil treatment, too. I definitely agree with you that we all have to upgrade our looks, too.

not that much but I do buy new shirts from time to time like every few years,I know I do not buy cloths that much.Tho I can buy cloths in the teens section since I am skiny.I did buy some new pants last month but I hate em since they are tight, tight pockets and hurt my nuts.Pants that are relaxed fit are not the same as baggy pants make note of it or you will be sorry.

Well, pants style now a days are skinny jeans. Their too tight you can't hardly breath. For guys I think straight cut is better than skinny jeans. (skinny jeans looks weird with guys, lol ) But for girls there is this jeggings (jeans/ leggings type) that is really comfy. Thank you for sharing!

since i got out of college and became a professional (about two years ago), I had to change the way I dress up. i used to be all t-shirts and pants but now I have to try to wear more professional-looking or corporate-style clothes. Recently, I also had my hair rebonded. I have been longing to do it since I was in high school but it was only a few weeks ago that I really got to do it. It's a nice feeling especially because my hair is one of my insecurities.lol. I think I should try to make it a habit to make my self feel good about my own self. :D

I think that's cool! You'll get used to it. When I get a short haircut it looks weird and all, but after after awhile, when you feel comfy about it, you will look good on it. Thank you for sharing!

I do it from time to time, but still on a regular basis, because I like it and because it does wonders for my mood. I don't spend a lot of money on it usually, but even small things can have a big impact. I changed my whole skin care and make up regime a while ago, so that must have been the last time I did it.
How about you, santosmarichris?

Hi Puccagirl! Your right, I do believe that small things can give a big impact. Recently I noticed that all my clothes are either black, brown or blue... My closet looks gloomy... So, now when I buy clothes I make sure I choose a bright color. I actually noticed that bright colors have a great impact on your skin. Happy MyLotting!

The last time I had an upgrade on my looks was June 12. Dad's day! I wore a dress. I wore make up. I am a shirt and jeans kind of girl and most probably even if my siblings and mom does not say anything, they may be wondering what came over me to wear such when I never wore them before.

Actually I love to change my style but the problem is I don't have a budget regarding "upgrading". If I have all the money on my palm, It would be possible that the upgrading will be like looping,(hahaha. Mine style is just rugged, simple shirt, but when it reaches 1 year of used, that's the time I will buy a new one.

I am actually planning for a total make-over for my hair style. I am now waiting for my hair to get longer, and once it reaches the length that I needed I will definitely rush to the salon for them to do the curling. lolz.

I did had a haircut last week, well just maybe few new clothes, some new do and that's it for me.. I really do change my hair styles on occasions as well as dress, But i don't need to really have total make-over. I'm not the prettiest or the best dresser. I just think that I wear my age. Wear trendy clothes but avoid being overdressed and vice versa. As long as i think I look good and feel good, I don't think I need to upgrade my look very often, Once or twice a year would be fine, like hairstyles and hair colors, losing some extra pounds would be great as well.

Hi Santosmarichris,
I definitly don't have the same hair that I would never ever cut before. Its a bit shorter and layered now. I do still wear jeans and t-shirts a lot but they are not the same ones I wore in the 80's for sure. I have to admit that in the summer time, I have these long indian print wrap skirts and dresses that I've had since the 70s. I can't part with them. They are so cool and comfortable and I still see these same types of clothes on other women. In fact I get a lot of compliments on them.

Very well thought, Marichris.:-)
This post makes me think , though. When was the last time i had a hair cut or a pedi/manicure? when was the last time I buy new clothes, never mind the make up since I'm not fond of them (got allergies no matter what brand).
And I realized I couldn't remember! Jesus! Then, right here on top of my desk top is a certificate from Allegra and Philippe's Salon staring right through me. Gosh, I think I've to make a call for an appointment...
Thanks, dear. :-) stay lovely.;-)
