Reccomendations from Starbucks Baristas

Yesterday I went to a Starbucks located in a Barnes and Noble bookstore. I asked for an iced coffee with toffee nut syrup. The barista tells me that in thier store, toffee nut is a seasonal syrup and they do not currently have it. She suggests that she could mix hazlenut and caramel syrup for a similar taste. WOW-it was not even close. Pretty terrible if you ask me. Unless you know you like thier hazelnut syrup, don't fall for that one! What have baristas reccomended to you that wasn't on the menu? Any awesome experiences?
