summer heat

whoa this heat is a killer. and then con edison and the other electric companies like to tell us to shut things off and its freaken hot outside. how can they do this on the most hottest times of the summer. shouldnt there systems be up and running. how can this happen.

Yes, this heat is a killer. But everyone needs to work together. And if you won't do that then you could have a big outage and then you won't have any coolers or anything else for along time. I would go online and check out way to cut down on useage. Like the type of curtains you have and how your use your furnish. Opening and closing doors continuosly, etc. Little things like these can mean alot when it comes to cutting down. And it doesn't hurt any of us to do this.

Maybe it's a hydor electric plant. They need lot's of water to produce electricity. So in summer or hot days, the dam might not have enough power to produce energy. That's why they are asking people to use less electricity. Atleast thats how it works on my country (Philipiines)
