Would u be mad if your friend jokes about having a naked picture of your wife?

My friend told me a story of him pissing his old friend. He said he and John grew up together(they are in their 50s now. He and his wife and John and his wife hang out a lot. They kinda knew each other very well. Their kids are friends too. One day, he dropped by John's house to pick up something. He saw John gardening and decided to joke him. " Do you have a naked picture of your wife?", my friend asked. "None. Why?" John asked. My friend said, " I have some here in my pocket, would you want to see it?" My friend thought John would knew he was joking but John took it the wrong way and in an angered tone asked my friend to leave his house. Do you think John is right about being mad? Was my friend's joke in a bad taste?

Hi, nympha687. I don't think that this is a funny joke at all. I would not like it if someone jokes about this about my husband. It is kind of rude and nasty. I think that your friends joke was in bad taste.

People's characters are different, maybe you are humourous, but he is serious, so your attitude and reactions are surely different. since your friend and john are such good friends, if your friend explains to john, John will believe it, right? However, your friend should be more prudent and distinguish what can joke and what cannot.
