I actually slept 2 hours earlier prior to my normal sleeping hour cause I'm not feeling well. And I had a good sleep, when I woke up and looked at the clock it's past 12 in the afternoon already. OMG, I over slept... I guess it's the way my body was telling me that I need to rest. I made a good breakfast, well actually lunch, and had my hot cup of coffee and now, I'm back to work feeling a lot better. When was the last time you over slept?

I get so angry with myself when I find I have overslept. Usually, I end up rushing because I needed to be up at a crtain time. Oversleeping is not the way I like to begin my day. Believe me. It has happened to me more than once.

I agree. I usually finish my make-up when I reach the office. I especially hate to oversleep when I have plans for that day since I usually end up cancelling. I really hate doing that, so as much as possible I try wake up earlier and I even set different alarm times so that I can really wake up or ask someone to wake me up. lol!

If your meaning is "sleeping longer than usual", I did many times. actually I don't know what's my normal waking-up time.
But I can say proudly that I have never delayed anything because of over sleeping. When I had something to do early next morning, I told myself what time should I wake up several times before falling asleep, I would wake up at that time accurately, the deviation was less than 10 minutes.
I must have a very good biological clock!

Wow, good for you. Sometimes when I have an early appointment, I can't even wake up on my alarm clock, lol. I even need somebody to wake me up, haha... I guess I love sleeping.

I usually over sleep when I feel sick and when I'm drunk. I realy sleep a lot. I can sleep for 12 hours straight , wake up, eat, then sleep again for another four hours or so. The longest sleep I had was sround 18 hours. Imagine that, I almost spent the whole day sleeping. I was drunk the night before that, when I woke up, I felt even worse. My back aches and I feel sluggish.

I overslept because I was super tired. I sleep over 12 hours last night, and I was surprised that no one wake me up. Actually, I suppose had my dinner last night, but I skip it, and I suppose working on mylot too, but I also miss it. I guess today I am feeling a lot better.

Lucky for you that you are able to sleep more than your normal sleeping hours. I cannot recall anymore when was the last time I was able to sleep a straight 8 hours a day. Since befor I gave birth to my daughter up to now, I still haven't slept for complete 8 hours, and the more it would be impossible for me to oversleep. Because of the different situations now compared to when I don't have a baby yet, makes it difficult for me to sleep complete 8 hours or to do oversleeping.

Don't worry, when your daughter is a bit bigger you'll have your 8 hours of sleep. I used to sleep less too when my son is still young, but now that his all grown up. I can have my beauty sleep. lol. Hope you have a good day!

If you're really not feeling well, I guess it is normal to oversleep. I was also not feeling well yesterday and slept early, but I still have a migraine. Its just one of those days where even if you rest it seems that it is not enough.

HI,
I can't remember when is the last time I overslept. But It did happened to me once awhile.
Every night before goes to bed, I will set my alarm for the next morning.
Once a while I will over-slept especially when I am having a tiring day. I just like to drag myself on the bed alittle while and I fall asleep. By the time, I realized, the sky is so bright and I have to rush like hell to do my things.
The best thing is once the alarm has rang,no more sleep and have to wake up straightly to avoid over-slept again.

I used to experience oversleeping moments during weekends. I am psychologically prepared for this and I love extended sleeps even oversleeps—though it sometimes give me headache. Also, I feel so lazy to be up and get active for the day! The last time I overslept was last Sunday!

Oh...I have slept lot of times like this..That time I can't even come out of my bed ..it will somewhat giddy..But when I woke up , after some 5 to 10 min it will be normal...I don't remember when I over slept recently...I think in my college days I should have over slept...
I always use to sleep some 10 to 12hrs in holidays..And then my friend said we should not sleep like that and it is not good...It will form water in our brain and leads to danger..from then onwards I'm not sleeping for long hrs.....

I haven't really overslept. I'm actually never really late for where I need to be in the morning due to my sleeping. And -- believe it or not -- I don't even use an alarm clock! My body just wakes up on time! What's really weird is on some days I will need to get up 15 or 30 minutes earlier, or maybe I can sleep in 20 extra minutes and after thinking about it a little bit the night before, I will wake up at the correct time the next morning!! It's kind of interesting, but I'm glad it works that way. :)

I overslept this morning. About 25 minutes. Hard to roll out of bed for me in the morning. I deal with sleep apnea and I just never was a morning person, rather a night owl type. I persevere to overcome this difficulty. Tomorrow I just pray that I wake up, either here or in Heaven. Amen!!

Hi, santosmarichris. Since my son has been out of school for the summer, I have been oversleeping. I have woken up at 11 am in the mornings mostly. Or it can be at, 10 in the mornings. But when my son was in school and the time changed, I overslept and it was 7:55 am when I woke up. I overslept! And of course my son was still asleep in bed. I made sure to set my alarm clock ever since then.

I oversleep everytime!
I keep telling myself that I have to wake up at 5am so I could get to work early and do a lot more, still I wake up later than I should, and just get to work in time. All it does is make do regular amount of work.
And that is kind of difficult for an 'overachiever' like me.

Some times I over sleep because my iphone either runs out of battery or I accidentally put it on mute so i don't hear the alarm which sucks when it happens. But for the most part i wake up on time I usally dont over sleep and miss any apoitments if i have them early in the morning.

This is probably one of the worst things that could happen to you. I'm oversleeping pretty often. It is very uncomfortable when you have to do your stuff such as bathing, toothburshing and so on for a few minutes. Actually the last time I overslept was today :)

yesterday...I woke up and it was only 9am so I thought ""I'll have a nap and get up at 10am"....I woke up and glanced at my phone and it was already 2pm although I felt like I had only been asleep for 5 minutes... there went my day
