My daughter will be three years on August 17 (next month). I want to give her a special gift for her birthday, but have no good ideas yet. I think a new doll or dress are not so special. What do you think is the appropriate gift for my daughter? Please advise your suggestions, I expect the gift for my daughter can give a wonderful feeling to remember.. or please just advise what kind of gift you ever give to your daughter on the third birthday.
Thanks.

Give her a special day somewhere. That is what I do for my kids. I am not big on toys and such so on birthdays and special occasions I take my kids say to a museum or a day at an amusement park. Or since she is little they have places like Jump for Joey which is a building full of bouncing equipment and moonwalks. There are also some places (I dont know about near you) where you can go and dress up and have a tea party. Take lots of pictures. Something for her to enjoy and a great memory for you.

Hi,
Happy Birthday to your daughter in advance!!
What a special day for her...your daughter birthday 17 Aug is also Indonesian independence day, such a coincidence.
For the present, you can buy her some educational toy which is pretty
useful for her to play and learn at the same time. Like : Educational laptop for kid,Lego bloacks.
Apart from getting her a present, you can bring her out for lunch or dinner ,together with your family members. It might be her happiest day and the most wondeful birthday celebration for her.

I'm sure we bought stuff for our daughter's birthday when she turned 3. But what we really gave her as the main gift was a special memory. We went on a trip to Disneyland and oh she still talks about it and wants to see our trip videos over and over again. Toys and such will be exciting for a while - but sweet memories from childhood can last a lifetime.

i had a niece who celebrated her third birthday last january.and we gave her a present.
a nice thing that for sure she'd really enjoy.we gave her a tricycle.
it was fun watching her inside the mall enjoying herself picking those tricycles she sees.she wants to ride those stuffs and learn how to drive.but her tricycle had those plastic wheels so that when her cousin tried to ride it,the wheels became flat because of his weigh, leaving my niece unable to learn how to drive it.so sad!
by this next months,we are planning to buy her a new one which has rubber wheels to make sure that it will last long and it's much better to invest on things which children would learn from it.

If you have a build a bear store near you, that is really fun. They get to pick out the bear or other animals (we ended up with a bunny that giggles) and then you pick if you want a sound in it. They give you a little heart to put in and then it is stuffed the way you like (ours is soft for hugging) Then you get to fill out a birth cert for it my daughter really enjoyed it. You can get clothes for them too but ours go bare just becasue of the price. I think that they even have a sound thing where you can record a message of your own. I think that would be really special. If you don't have a store they have a website as well. I actually got my daughter the leapster 2 for her birthday it is a little bit old for her but she is figuing it out really quickly. She also has a Leapfrog tag reader and books that she really enjoys. Books and electronics and she is a happy little girl. Hope you find the perfect gift for you little girl.

Hi cahmadani.. I would advise you to gift your daughter a pup or a fish. since children love animals it is time that you give them a real one instead of teddy bear or something.

Hi elvis, thanks for your advise.. yes she loves pets, i have a small aquarium with several kinds of fish, she loves it very much. We like cats instead of dog, i like cats so do my children, but my wife does not like cats, so i cannot allow them to have a cat in our house. happy mylotting, thanks.
