HBO Mini-Series...They're good!

I love HBO miniseries. They make a mean one. They had 6 feet under, True Blood, Band of Brothers and The Pacific and a whole lot more. The only one that I was able to finish was the Band of Brothers. It was a great war series for me. I'm into war movies coz I find history related movies very interesting. So, included in my favorites would be Band of Brothers.

I thought that band of Brothers was a classic. Most things historic capture my imagination. My partner bought the recent 'Rome' series for me on DVD. I have an assortment of WWII based movies at home, including 'Cross of Iron' starring James Coburn, along with James Mason and other well known faces, and 'Night of the Generals'- Peter O'Toole & Omar Sharif.
I don't know if you ever saw it, but there was a series 'Secret Army', often repeated on cable/ satellite, concerning the underground in Belgium. Probably the closest that I have ever come to watching a 'soap'!

I think fascinated is a wrong word to describe my interest in war movies. I guess I'll use your word, it captures my imagination and at the same time teaches me as well about history. I've been meaning to watch Rome. Maybe now is the time to buy it. I haven't heard about Secret Army. I'll try to look for that.

I love Band Of Brothers and The Pacific, I feel like on the world war II battlefield, very very enjoyed the mini series. I like the world war history, and both of mini series tell the story well plus the dramatic scene, it's very interesting.that is not enough if you watch it for a few series, you cannot wait for all of series. there is HBO will release world war series again?

My husband loves The Pacific.. actually anything about wars.. I love s.a.t.c. and entourage (this is from HBO right?)

I love HBO, they make the best stuff! Most of the series I have seen by them have been awesome! I haven't seen Band of Brothers yet though...
