Mine is 80% for pleasure, like a hobbie, 10% to pass to others some things I know and 10% to earn.
For you what is the reason to start a blog and get into the blogosphere?

I like to blog so that I could keep those good memories and ideas I learned, I used my personal blog for this purposes so that when I got old my grandchildren will still now how I used to be when I was young and they will know all my experiences I made in life.

Mine is mostly for please, for expressing myself. I have acquired an interest for writing (mostly creative) in the past year or two, and I kind of took that out on my blog. Although my blog is more non-fiction/about the little things in life and society. I enjoy it quite a bit.

hi katie0 I have not yet started a blog as I am so afraid I will
goof it all up as I have not the foggiest idea of how to go about
it and anyway already there a lot of great blogs done by all my
fellow mylotters. I doubt if I would have time to do this as
I mylot a lot , and I mean really a lot. If I thought it would not
take a lot of time I might start one but I would have to learn how
to do this first. lol lol.

For me, each of my four (4) different blogs have been purely for pleasure, more than earning.
My Investment advise blog, (which incidentally has been ranked as India's BEST investment advise blog) was my first blog. I started this blog purely to educate Indian public about the wrong notions that Insurance is the best form of saving. I wanted to the Public to think of investments beyond Insurnace into Better yeilding assets like MUTUAL FUNDS.
My Stock advise blog, was started to ensure that whatever buy goes up!!!
The logic was, first I will buy and then I will put it on my blog and later when the public start buying, I will sell....Psst...... will not tell you How much I have made from this idea.....
I love travelling and thus was born my 3rd and 4th blogs. The 3rd blogs talks about the places which I have visited and my experineces there.
The 4 blog talks about the Hotels that I have stayed and my recommendation on these hotesls.

I would say, because you like it. I personally enjoy sharing my views on different things with people, and that makes blogging fun for me, no matter if I earn something from it or not.

I have four blogs and each has different reasons why I started it.
For my personal blog, I started it because I want to document memories of my life - so I have something to look back on should I get old. Also, it was my way to get in touch with friends and relatives who are living abroad or I haven't seen in regular basis. I decided to blog instead of writing it in a notebook (diary) because keeping a notebook would be difficult for me and I really don't want to end up with boxes of diaries that will become clutter in the future.
For my travel blog, I started it because I want to show people of the world just how beautiful my country is. I want to help the government boost up the tourism of my country, and in a way it was a good way to "brag," saying "I have been here."
For my photo blog, it was my place to showcase my progress in taking pictures.
For my food blog, I just wanted a place for my love of eating and cooking.
You're right... blogging is also a pleasure for me, and if I get to earn from it, all the better.
