hi friends.nah.its not the usual about how inconsisten our indian bowlers are and why they wont help in winning the world cup 2011.
not at all.
lets see.
zaheer khan, the bowling spearhead is in jo'berg treating his injury and will miss srilankan series .i believe he got injured earlier this year too.
ashish nehra, will probably head the bowling in odi but not in test so that leaves actually none.
you cant expect ishant or whoever the new kid will be to head the pace attack.
i was counting on sreesanth in giving zaheer a run for the spearhead spot but he seems contended with competeing with him on how frequently one gets injured.
other teams have injuries too but not this often and CONSISTENT.
what if zaheer injures his shoulder, sreesanth gets hamstring, nehra gets ankle injury just behore the world cup?
send untested quickies like yadav, unitkar,to the main tournament?

U missed one name Praveen kumar.Luckily he is not injured yet. and let us hope that does not happen.
I do not know why but India has always struggled for quality pace bowlers.Fast bowlers are never consisdered match winners in India forever.Spinners are considered like Bhajji and Kumble.May be Kapil was the only exception.
Now coming to the present scenario I think India should go to the 2011 world cup with 10 batsmen+harbhajan singh.
It might seem an exaggeration. But I think it works!!!!!

you got a valid point.i heard somewhere that in a certain tournament, some country played to it strength eventhough it looked unorthodox and won the tournament.
if spin is our best strength and wicket picking option, why not pick bhajji, ashwin, chawla because they can bowl well and also bat pretty handy.

yes i agree that indias fast bowling is the weak point of indian cricket team india have tried various bowlers but not able to find out those prasad shrenath of at that time . currently zahir is who leading the fast bowling .india need the fast bowler that can bowl the at least 140km/hr .ishant who can bowl but not in the best form ..
i think the india also need the good allrounder that can bowl the fast bowling very few in all time indian cricket team ....

indian pace attack is always in a worst side, its not a new thing.
now the injuries have made it more worse.

Lets be positive that no one is injured before the world cup. India has enough time to build the pace attack before the world cup. It needs to work well and build on its weakness.
