Typhoon on its way!

Philippines

OUr province is under Signal number three. That's only a level away from being a super typhoon. We are not experiencing heavy rains yet and everything seems to be calm. The skies have darkened though and the wind has started to whistle. The last time we had a destructive typhoon was two years ago. Even then it was only under signal number two. But only after a few hours everything was under water. I remember waking up in the middle of the night and the water was about knee deep downstairs. I have to and buy emergency supplies. I hope this one doesn't do as much damage as the last. Ricefields have only started to recover from summer's heat and I'm afraid it would drown. Sigh. Let's all hope that it just passes and not do great damage. I might lose my electricity and my internet connection in a few hours.

So sorry for the delayed reply. I got disconnected for a few days but I got busy contacting my clients. IN our town nothing serious happened. But I heard that we were under a state of calamity. I count myself lucky but I know that a lot of people got effected by it in other areas.

I think I heard that the typhoon is heading your way. I hope no big destruction comes your way. As it happens, I still feel sad even after the storm leaves where I leave because it will definitely wreak havoc somewhere else. Let's hope that this not happen to anyone today.

I have heard about the news this early morning. There's no typhoon signal here in our place, but I am supposed to be traveling back to Manila, which is signal # 1 at the moment. My bf says it is raining heavily right now. I think, some areas where will I pass through with my trip are affected. I just hope it will not be that strong so that I can get back as possible as I can.

Good luck to you. I don't venture on travelling far when there's a brewing storm because I don't want to get stranded on my way to somewhere. You're really braving it today. I just hope Manila does not get flooded like the last time with ONdoy.

Bad news, the typhoon had changed affected areas. Last night, Metro Manila raise to signal no. 2 and no current. I could no longer get in touch with my bf because his cp are low in battery due to that unexpected brownout. Last news I got from him was that there is heavy rain and strong winds. I will be traveling back tonight to Manila. It's Sunny day in here and no idea how is my bf now. I just pray that it will be over so soon.

We are lucky to live in this part of the world that is not the pathway of typhoon. Our land is called the 'Land below the Wind. That explains why we escape from typhoon. Pray that everyone is safe.

IF luck has a hand in this then we might be the unluckiest country around. We are in the midst of a typhoon highway and we are also sitting on the Pacific rim of fire. TOugh luck I say

I can't imagine waking up to knee deep water anywhere in my house. I hope and pray that the typhoon does not happen to you. I would be so scared. I hope you get the emergency supplies that you need in time. Hopefully it doesn't come to pass and everyone will be ok. Good luck and God Bless.

I sure hope so. The neighbors are joking about saving our beloved chili plants here. We're actually protecting those plants first. Banana trees on the other side of our apartment already had one or two casualties/ I wonder what the neighborhood would look like in the morning. The power just came back and I'm hoping we will have this until tonight.

Yes, the revenge of the God has come. Last year and this year, we have seen such massive calamities from Mother Earth. Disastrous Flood, typhoons, volcanic eruptions and earthquakes as well as HINI and mine disasters, not counting air crashes and train pile-ups. So, do pray to almighty God, won't you that the imbalance caused by man will return so that we can see less natural disasters. I really dislike typhoons myself!

This typhoon is strong, after her attacked last night, there are many fallen trees and some roofs in the household are detroyed. I wonder what happened now in provinces where they are suffered a lot if typhoon comes to there place because of mud slide. I hope no lives where taken this time. please pray for every one's safety.
