Okay well I think it is time enough to get into some dirt that is being spread by the NeoCons of this country. I found this video on youtube.com and well I think it explains their lies very well. This is covering Sarah Palin and Bill who both prove they know nothing of the nations founding or even the documents that found the nation. This video high lights this as well as I just need to through something out there. You people want to have your freedoms back and small government which I have to say This nation really really needs right now is to go back to its roots but the Republicans want to go further than that they want to destroy your freedoms and make America just like Iran and have the government in your personal life. They are just as much agianst the people of america as the democrats are.
Here are some links to infomation.

Are you sure they are wrong? Are you absolutely sure that they are lying? Having an opinion is great, but if you don't question the possibility of anything and everything-even those things you have a firm belief in- do you really know the truth?
You must see the possibility of anything.

Yeah they are wrong they have been for a really long long time. If the founding fathers wanted a Christian nation you would think that they would of put Christian and God in the documents somewhere but they don't they put creator which would mean what ever the person who is reading it believes the creator is. So for Christans its god and for Atheist it is Evolution or something. The point of that line is to say you don't get your rights from the King but from the Creator itself. And the Consitution has no mention of God execpt to say the parts about religion which isn't focusing on anyone belief system. Our legal code was not created by the founding fathers. It was created by the people who are influenced by their beliefs of right and wrong where the founding documents came from a smaller number of people.

There were indeed some founders who wanted the Constitution to declare the US a Christian nation, and they were voted down by a comfortable margin.

The whole idea was to prevent one church or one religion from having complete control. There are differences of beliefs even among Christians.

You are corrent in stating that the republicans are actually not that different from the democrats: These people both seek to control people:
The democrats outright convince people that the people cannot manage their lives and they, democrats, will have to manage people's lives provided the people are loyal to them, democrats. The republicans, always under the impression that they alone ought to be privileged to knowledge and quick to criticize big government, simply use the law/government to keep people in line: You will note that a republican is a 100 times more likely to call the police on people for almost anything! There is almost nothing godly about these politicians!

Wow..I have not heard about that. Got any facts to back it up. I would be very interested to see the proof on that.

Lilwonders, this is common fact that needs no backings! If you pay close attention, then you will note that even your republican "conservative" talk radio hosts often tell their callers and listeners to always call the law on people for anything that they do not agree with - doctor Laura is especially good at this practice. You are welcome to hence pay heed and note this common practice.

This country was founded because of religious and individual oppression. That is the whole reason the puritans fled England. We have the separation of church and state here. So therefore our laws should not be based on the laws of a certain religion.
What you have is two sides (democrat and republican) that are fighting over control of this country. The liberals want to tell you how to live...ie limiting your personal freedom...the republicans want to tell you how to live..ie limiting your personal freedom. But each has a different view on how you should live.
So neither side can say they are "for" personal freedom...just the personal freedoms they "think" you should have and as long as you make the choices "they" want you to make.

Yeah the republicans and democrats are two different paths to the same end complete and under destruction of the freedoms of this country and everything we once stood for :( its really quite sad.

Not to mention that states were formed to find religious freedom and escape the religious persecution of other states (Rhode Island and Utah, for instance).
I am not so paranoid about either Republicans or Democrats. Freedoms conflict, and it's generally about which of two freedoms (in any situation) you choose that warrants which side of the political divide you are on.

I often wonder what these people who claim this is a "Christian America" think of Catholics...
There's plenty of times in colonial America when Catholics were discriminated against, and it was considered okay. Is this considered part of our history? Do you suppose anyone would find that acceptable today?

yeah its part of our history (just not a part of theirs) see in order to have the beliefs that these people have you need to brainwash yourself in to making up your own history to support your beliefs Bill O does it a lot on his show he simply makes up facts so that he can seem like he is right when really he is lieing like a snake. Sarah isn't much better. She has proven over and over again her lack of knowledge of the U.S History which is sad considering people want her to be president and she knows nothing of our nations history. She refers to things that aren't in the constitution. Extremist on both sides make up their facts to support their extremist views instead of facts supporting their views they will make up lies to create facts that aren't there like a mirage in the middle of the desert.
No it would be unacceptable unless you where making a comment about priest and alter boys or something along those lines. ;)
