Do you know some good websites about beautiful English essays? / myLot

I love reading. I use to buy some good magazines and was impressed by some of the good articles in it. But most of these good articles are the translation from other languages like English. I wish I could read them in their original language to enjoy the literature better. Do you have some good websites offering on-line reading about English essays, or articles or short stories?
