Hi All, What has been your worst rain experience? Did you get badly drenched, or caught somewhere for hours, unable to do anything else, or take rest? I once got stuck at a place for hours, unable to venture out due to heavy rains, and it got very tiring and nothing useful during that time. Regards

I was riding my bike to work. Halfway, the rain just poured down! I wanted to go under a shed for the time being so I hasted to be there before I got drenched. Well, I got to this shed but I found out that my back was smothered with mud from the wheel! I was wearing a white t-shirt! And I have no extra shirt with me! So, I have no choice but to get back at home and change. I walked this time, carrying extra shirts, extra pair of pants, extra pair of shoes and an umbrella. Halfway, the rain just stopped! can you imagine that!

My worst rain experience happened some years ago when I was working in a home health care team. All of my patients lived in same area and I used a bike as transportion. It had been raining all day and the streets were very slippery. All of a sudden I fell off my bike, I got a concussion and I lost my memory. I didn't get any serious injuries and my memory returned after a while, but it was definately my worst rain experience.

My worst experience was during the Ondoy storm. Our house was flooded up to the ceiling and my brother and his family had to stay in an unfisnished building without any change of clothes. Fortunatelly the carpenters were friendly and shared their food. I was not with them so I almost got sick because of worrying and pleading to rescuers to try and rescue them or at least get some food to them because we had a baby and they ran out of milk. Thankfully, no one from my family got hurt but the status of the house was terrible after the flood subsided. We lost most of our appliances

My worst experience....ok. One night i was sleeping at home in mumbai at my cousins place. I used to work in a call centre then. I came home late and was sleeping on the floor as i was tired. around 4 in the morning i felt my hand was wet, so i moved my hand and then i felt my leg was getting wet. When i opened my eyes i saw water gushing inside from the door within minutes the water filled till my ankles. This was the worst rains i had ever seen. Water had filled the first floor also.

I used to study in a University which get flooded even during the smallest amount of rain. So imagine my dismay when one day it was raining again and I have to rush to class, I have to balance myself on the gutters at the side, clinging to the metal railings of the apartments/dorms nearby. I was doing well... until my celphone slipped and fell into the flood. I had to SCOOP the celphone with my bare hands.. I dont want to think of the stuff floating in that flood!

I always have my raincoat with me during rainy season, so i have no worry of getting wet, however if it is raining cats and dogs i take shelter in some shade or some shop.. Thanks Let’s enjoy life to the fullest. Professor ‘*^Bhuwan^*’. .

We were on an out-of-town trip then. But actually just approx. 3hrs away from our city. We went to a water falls resort. It did rained in the afternoon, but we still pushed to travel home because we have work the following day. We even left at around 3pm so we can make sure we arrive and have dinner at home. On our way, we encountered an unusual traffic. It was really unusual because we are in a middle of a mountain. It was then that we knew that there was a landslide ahead that blocked the road. And we have no choice because it was the only way out. Actually there is another way but it will take us additional 5 more hours to travel back to our place (3 + 5hrs) and we do not have enough fuel to travel that far. So we did wait along the line. The worst thing was, there was no network signal in that place. I already got worried because I cannot inform my mom that we were stranded. We rode a motorcycle and sought for help from the settlers to find a place where there is a signal. The signal was slow that I cannot make a call. So I just sent a text message. It's just fortunate that a fresh fruits export company made a way to find some remedies on how to temporarily repair the road to make it passable. Because their trucks were also stranded and cannot reach the vessel's sailing. We left the place at around 12:30am. It was really terrible and we swear we will not return to that place anymore. :)
