Tropical Storm "Basyang"

Philippines

Finally the first storm this rainy season! Do you like rainy days? I love them. I don't know why some people are saying rainy days are sad days. But for me rainy days are happy days. I love eating, drinking, watching movies, playing games while raining. The only thing I hate doing while raining is sleeping, because I'm too excited to sleep!

I love storms and the rain sweetie. I have never experienced a tropical storm, though. I need to rectify that little problem. TATA.

It's just the same as any storm, or typhoon, or hurricane. They just call it differently depending on what country it is. Here in Philippines if it is not that strong we just call it storm, if it is strong it becomes typhoon. And we use signal numbers 1-4 here instead of category. It's already midnight here and can't sleep yet.

I love rainy days when I don't have to go to work. It's so nice o stay in bed and read a book. I also could not understand why my appetite is better during rainy days. But I hope we don't get any storms as devastating as Ondoy

Oh I miss reading books. I haven't read a single book for a year now.

Well for as long as they are not as bad as the Ondoy fine with me. I think as a commuter everyday rainy day is a bad news because that means traffic, flooding and it's practically hard to travel when it is rainy. It seems everybody is looking for a means of transportation. Well for those that stay at home I guess they are far more convenient and cool.

Hello damned idle, I Live in Cavite and when it was announced that the signal of the storm here is only number one i felt relief. i remember a few weeks ago when it rained here, not that much but the winds are really strong that brought down tree branches in almost two to three blocks from our house. took time but the branches were remove. i remember this typhoon once in 2006 i think it was really strong, and brought a lot of branches down which took us weeks to clean it up. rainy season is fine, i just worried about those affect by floods.

So I guess you're in the Philippines, too? I'm not particularly fond of the rainy days, especially when I'm out because it is such a hassle to cover yourself with an unbrella or wear boots & coat :P but it is such a blessing when I'm at home, like you I love sleeping and watching DVDs when its cold outsideQ

I don't like rainy season, its all wet, dangerous (accompanied by strong typhoons) and destructive to properties and so on, and it always makes me want to sleep and sleep longer in the morning. I don't like very humid season either, Ah! I just like normal weather cool and sunny..

I like rainy days because it helps to cool down the hot weather that we are always getting for most months of the year. That is because we live near the equator. I can imagine that the amount of water the storm will bring, as it has caused some low lying areas in our city to be flooded. I think because of the cooler temperature our minds are more alert and creative, where we can make good use of the time. So it's good to take a break and recharge our lives in rainy days. I guess sleeping for a while would be good to feel more refreshed. The only thing I dislike about rainy days is lightning, thunder and flooding.

I am already afraid of storms and rains since the Ondoy happened. The rain does not give me good sleep anymore. It gives me pain in the head for I feel not comfortable when it rains.

That's sad to here. Did Ondoy affected your house? Or did you experience something horrible?

during typhoon Ondoy I just walked outside without an umbrella and my slight deafness made the typhoon look like a shower. when Parma flooded us it was more like a movie scene. now that the rainy season has begun, im left to imagine what next? last year there were relief goods hopefully the same this year hehe.

It's better to watch horror movies during typhoons. With matching lightning and thunderstorms. hehe. And then brownout!
