Home cinema- Good or Bad Idea?

ddaguno was right as long as you can afford it. But for me, the main question will be how long will it last since we all know that technology are moving fast so it might be great for how long? one year? then you need to buy a new one. So it will still depend on you whether you really want but it is really a great idea.

Very good idea! You dont really have to set up a really fancy one. having an exclusive area in the house where family, relatives and friends can get together is not just an economical way to watch movie but also a brilliant idea to have an excuse and meet everyone. Everyone can enjoy watching a movie in the comfort of your very own home. Less cost and more bonding. :D

hello there! it would be nice if you have one. if only i have enough money i'd put up one too. the advantage of having a home theatre is that: 1. you can watch the movie with your family in any convenient time that you have. as well as you can spend quality time togheter whe you have one. 2. you can watch any movie that you want to anytime.3. you can invite many friends or relatives to watch movie with you. the only disadvantage that i can think of is that if you have childer and they are teens then you should limit their time on watching movie so as not to affect their studies and also you must consider what they are watching, it should be wholesome and not those with porns. happy mylotting =)

having a home cinema is both good and bad. good thing is you don't have to line up in the cinema just to see your favorite movie. it is also convenient for your family since you will just sleep right away in your home. you are protected from any harm and accidents since you don't have to go to the theater to watch movies. bad effect is that your electric bill will surely increase as you could watch anytime you want.

Of course it is a great idea ! If you have the spare money you should definitely invest them in a home theater system, because it can truly provide a good experience :) You will as you said have your privacy, you won't be concerned by other people and you won't only watch movies, but also be able to listen to some really loud music :)

I think It is better like real cinema, because you can watch a movies at the time when you want them. I do not know how much this system pays, but If you want It just buy. I too do not go to cinemas in nowadays, but I have a good things in home. I have plasma TV 1m to 1m sound good? And I have a receiver with loudspeakers with 300W each and sub woofer with 150W. This system was cost about $1600, but It is worth It. I have many movies in my home and It is very interesting to watch movies with sound special effects. Good luck, Have a nice day!

It is good if you can afford it. Not, if you don't. I plan to have this too. I plan to have one part of our house remodelled and purchase an enormous tv with surround sound. It's good for bonding time with the family. Especially if your family likes movies.

it could be a very good idea, but it will never be as good as a big cinema but if you do it with good systems it will be good!
