They could have make a difference. But this current Brazil team is unlike the previous. While the previous represent the free spirit style of play, this team is more about toughness and strength. The players who I felt is true-blue Brazilian are Kaka and Robino. Maybe Ronaldinho should be in the team for the creative and flamboyance.

With Ronaldinho, maybe but not quit sure and with Ronaldo, I don't really think so. He is just old enough to run side by side with younger players. Look what happened to the French and the Italians, they never get passed the first round. But I think the current team of the samba boys just went complacent in their game with the Netherlands.

Ronaldinho would definitely have made a difference by adding some creativity to that midfield. Having Kaka as the most creative force really does not bring in the Brazilian flair as Kaka at his best is efficient but not a great flair player like Ronaldinho. Similarly, any side having Luis Fabiano as their main striker is not going to win too many trophies and that was shown as Fabiano is good, but lacks the cutting edge of a Ronaldo, who can create holes even in good defenses!!
Cheers!
