how often do you reach late for job/classes? and what excuses do you give?

I work for WAPDA, a company that supplies electricity. My duty is in crew, it's sort of a maintainance work, so whenever there is a fault somewhere in the machinery, we just go there and fix it. So I don't have to go to the work at some specific schedule. Whenever they need us, they call us, and we go there and fix the problem. What do you think? Isn't that a cool job? LOL

I mostly go late to the classes but this is due to public transport i use and i already have told to my teacher about this fact. So i dont need to explain anything else.. Sometimes I do make reasons if I am too late but it is the presence of mind what I tell him/her because I actually tell them some academic reasons like that madam called me, that sir has got some work with me..!! I am a person that trys to be on time all the time. If I am gonna be late to something I try to call. I think it is only right. But if there is no way for me to call I tend to explain myself when I get there. I have two appointments today that I really do not want to go to because I have college work I need to get moving on, but hey you know what I will go because I have not gone to my last 3 appointments:)

Hi there, My job is at College and since i am no longer a student there does not arise question of my reaching the class late. Yes as teacher in College I have seen some of my colleagues reaching late to their class. But in my case I have hardly been late to my class. Since I am in the campus itself and I know exactly when my class is, it makes things easier for me to respond quickly. Of course there are occasions when I intentionally reach my class room some five minutes late to the scheduled time. Otherwise things are quite normal with me.

I was only late to class maybe once in college and that was the very first day of the semester because my alarm didn't go off! Luckily, I'd had the teacher before and she understood and that was actually something she had worried about happening to herself, so she wasn't mad at all. xD I try not to be late to work. I've really only been late maybe a handful of times, but they've all been good excuses. Once I was sick and ended up throwing up right before I left home, so that kind of sidetracked me and I was a couple of minutes late. The other time I remember was when I locked myself out of the house and had to have my grandparents come and let me back in. xD I was only a couple of minutes late then, too, and that was on Mother's Day, so that was a really crazy day!

Well we have a group of five people,we all are famous for our lazy behaviour.We all have also created a group on Facebook called "Always late to the Class".We always give excuses like"the bus was late or i was having fever".But now our teachers also know that we lie and they wait for attendence or mark it in the end.

Almost always! Punctuality's always been my worst weakness. It all starts from waking up late in the morning. And so everything follows. I am trying to change this attitude. Now at work, I try to speed up my pace so I can come on time.

well its usually because of traffic. but our professors really doesnt mind it that much unless your really that late.

When I was a student, I hardly arrived late to class. But sometimes there still situation where I just couldn't help to be late. If I did, I just apologized (if the lecturer caught me...) Usually I was forgiven and being let into the class. But my lecturers could be strict most of the time. They usually locked the door once they arrived and ignored any knocking or whatever. It's either you arrived on time or no class for you at all.

I think very often almost 1 - 2 times a week... in fact at this particular time I should be getting ready to go ot the office but I am here on mylot... I will be late today as well if I don't stop know.. I have never been shouted at for being late. The frequency of bing late to the college was less. In my office the number of hours gets counted so If I am late I need to extend for that much of time...

I am a very punctual person,I usually advance thirty minutes before the time of my appointment.I have a motto that,it's better for me to wait than they will wait for me.During my school days,I never been late also because time really for me is so precious.During duty days in the hospital I usually arrived early too,never been late.It's just time management.

I never go to late in any place job or college. No i'm not like to be a late person. its not a good thing in my opinion. but many of the people every day do this thing. at the time i'm ask to myself why they doing always but i never ask to anybody...what is the reason to be a late person?

I haven't been late for classes or job. If i felt like I'd be late, I would be absent instead and call ahead of time.

Most of the time, I came late during classes. Traffic is my common excuse. Even though my C.i. won't accept that kind of excuse. Actually, the real reason of being late is I got out of bed late...silly
