Do you get bitten up a lot by mosquitoes?

Every morning I wake up with a mosquito bite on my body. Lately, I have been bitten on my arms, legs and the back of my thighs. I don't see a mosquito flying around here that often. I have seen one flying around here a couple of weeks ago, but I don't see it anymore. I can't stand the summer. This is one of the reasons why I don't like this kind of weather. It is too hot, the mosquitoes are very bad. I sweat a lot in the heat. It is just too hot to go outside. I would rather the cooler season come in. I am getting so tired of waking up with a mosquito bite on my body. My husband says that he has not gotten bitten by a mosquito at all. Why me so much? My three year old daughter has not gotten bit up at all either. My son and oldest daughter has been bitten by mosquitoes too. I am planning to go to bed with a long sleeve blouse on and long pants. I will keep my fan running throughout the night time too. I am also going to put the covers over my body. I am willing to do what I have to in order to be less attractive to these mosquitoes. I know that it is the female mosquito that loves sucking my blood. Imagine waking up every morning itching. It is like this mosquito waits for me to go to sleep at night, just so that it can feed upon my flesh. I can't see this mosquito now, but I know that it is hiding somewhere in the apartment now. It is just waiting for tonight. But I have a big surprise for it too! I am also going to be wearing socks on my feet. I know that I may look crazy dressed like this going to bed, but I don't care. I want these vampires to stop sucking on my blood! Is there anything that I can do to keep them away from me? I am planning to buy some effective insect repellent too. Are there any other ideas on what I should do?

THey will bite you through clothing and such. If you wear any kind of perfume or fragrant soap they will get you too. There are candles you can use when you are out that help. I can't recall the name of the stuff in them but it really works and starts with a c. Good stuff and smells nice.

I am using a natural repellent : I put crushed cloves in a cup near my bed, and mosquitos are afraid . It works around 3 or 4 days. I have not been bitten this year with this trick.

As i understand it you should get some of those garlic pills. I don't have a problem with mosquitoes. They are either to scared of me or my blood isn't good enough. I cannot think that i have ever been bitten by one. Hope the garlic will help. TATA.

I do, and what I do is that I keep special lamps that has something inside them that repells mosquitoes in my bedroom. I also treat the bites when I get them (not while sleeping, but outside or something) with aloe vera, which makes them itch less and heal faster!

Hi, bounce58. I have heard that aloe vera is great for itching when a person has mosquito bites.

Just wondering... Would there be repellants that already have aloe vera? That would great, and the one application be much easier. Mosquitos would stay away, but if they did bite, the aloe vera would not make it itch.

There are some things that attract mosquitos. I always hated when I lived on the bottom apartment because when they cut the lawn, the mosquitos would immediately come out. When it rained in the summer, and there were puddles the next day, the mosquitos came. And I was always getting bit. I live on the top floor apartment now, so the problem is not as big. I use Burt's Bees natural Herbal Insect Repellant. It has no bad smell, it isn't sticky, and when I come back inside, I don't feel like I have to wash it off.

oh yea.there can be 20 people in a room, and they go right for me. check for missing/holes in screens, standing water, and the most evil-swamp cooler air conditioners.they'll come right up through them. and find an army/navy store and ask for military grade "off".that's worked the best for me.

i am not sure if somebody have suggested you using a mosquito blanket or mosquito net? and i am also not sure if you know about it or if it is available in your place. there are also available lotion to prevent mosquitoes from biting. i know it's available in our place which is called Off Lotion manufactured by Johnson and Johnsons.

My son was like that. Specially when he was a baby. We would make sure that all windows are closed, put some repellant on him, and sometimes we would watch him sleep. Still he would wake up with a mosquito bites here and there. I always thought that it was because he had sweet blood, and the mosquitos loved that. I suggest the fan. An oscillating one.

most of the time i don't even realize that i'm being bitten by a mosquito i only realize it when i start to feel itchy and scratch..then i'll notice a little red welt where that darn mosquito bit me.. when sleeping, i can mostly ignore them. but i can't stand it when one of those mosquitoes keep buzzing near my ear

This is something I hate about summer too. Thankfully I haven't been bitten this summer but in the past I've been stung several times on the same place. I think putting a net around your bed works, this is what I've heard people do in hotter countries.

I have not been bitten much this year, but in past years I have gotten a lot of them. My daughter was outside at dusk about 2 weeks ago and she got about 30 on her back. She has a weird reaction to mosquito bites. She gets these red welts almost immediately after she is bitten and they puss a little bit. She says they do not itch at all, but I put some Benadryl on her anyway. I have heard that rubbing a Bounce dryer sheet on your skin helps to keep them off of you. We tried it the night we went out to watch fireworks and none of us got any!!

also me i have been bitten on my arms and legs. i hate mosquitoes because sometimes my welt because of mosquitoes it is cause of my wound. i kill the mosquitoes if i saw that. always take care of that because it is also the cause of dengue fever.

I too had this problem in my old house. They just bit me here and there. I got so tired of it and made me fear mosquito borne diseases like malaria and such. It just stopped when we moved to a new house. I would suggest buying mosquito repellents like 'off' or something like that.

I suggest you buy a mosquito net and sleep into it at night. It's very effective and don't do harm to your health like some insect repellants. Besides, coil-incense also can keep you away from the boring animal~ The two ways are very popular in our country.I hate the mosquito just like you.Maybe you can eat some onions cause mosquitos is afraid of the irritant smell.
