I like Ice Cream and I like Sherbert too, I was just wondering which one do you prefer and if I am trying to watch my weight is Sherbert ice cream considered a diet food?

Hi, jahernandezrivas. I think that eating fat free sherbert is a great snack to eat when losing weight and watching extra calories. I prefer ice cream, but when I am dieting, I prefer to eat sherbert.

This two this is very yummy I would prefer ice-cream, because It have less calories than sherbert. Sherbert is very sweet and nutrient. Ice-cream would cool you in hot days. There is many + and - to this two things, because they all are good. If you need to choose only one thing from this two what would you take? Take care, Have a nice day!

Sherbet is awesome! And, so low fat. Though it's not really considered a diet food, it's not as bad for your waist line as regular icecream. Orange sherbet is the only kind of ice treat that I eat when I'm trying to lose weight. Regular full fat (or even reduced fat) icecream is too much of a temptation. Mostly, I love orange sherbet cause it contains real orange juice. And, I love orange juice.

I don't know if Sherbert is considered a diet food. I definitely prefer ice cream - Cold Stone being a fave. I'm also a huge fan of the new self-serve frozen yogurt shops popping up everywhere...I think they're supposed to be low fat and some have active yogurt cultures that promote healthy digestion. I Heart Yogurt, Orange Mango, and Berry Berry are a few that I've been to and can't get enough!

I personally prefer Ice cream over sherbert. I like the texture much better. I like to use Ice cream as a personal treat. Not something I really eat all the time. As far as Sherbert being a diet food, if you're comparing it to normal Ice Cream then yeah but i'm not sure just by itself. Hope I helped!

I like ice cream more. I have never been a fan of sherbert because I don't care much for fruit flavored ice cream. But I do like to eat frozen yogurt I used to get a really yummy peanut butter chip frozen yogurt.

I like ice cream better, usually cause it's got a richer flavor and is on sale more often. I don't think it's a "diet food" just a healthier alternative to ice cream. Though I've heard some folks say skinny cow is great alternative for a really low fat/sugar ice cream, but I don't care for the taste.

I love ice cream and sherbet too! Lovely combo. I don't know if you have heard about a sweet dish called FALOODA. Here in India its a common sweet dish. You can search on the internet for its recipe. Its pretty easy and you'll surely love it.
