I hate that, when people suppose to move after green light shown. They still stand still and was distracting on something. Today, there is a lady was in the front line, and I can see her texting busily on her cellphone, because my car was just next to hers. When it turns green light, I already move ahead, and I can heard the horn honking at her from behind. So, texting is really distracting.

Hi kingparker! I agree that texting while on the road is distracting, not to mention, a potential disaster. Time and time again, we hear news about car accidents that were related to mobile phone usage while driving. Such a waste. I do hope people pay more attention to the road and if they really need to use their phones, maybe they can pull over somewhere for a few minutes. :)

and it doesn't seem that hard does it? Stop for a few minutes on the side of the road and send a text, then carry on driving.

Yeah, I agree. Especially if you have passengers. I mean, you should also think that you are putting them in a potentially hazardous situation as well.

This is very bad, no body should do texting or anything which can distract from driving. There were accidents because of all such problems and still people keep doing it. There is nothing more important when we are driving, we can save our and someone else's life.

Hiii... I too dislike people texting, while they should be doing something else.. This is the downside of technology.. Texting is a gift to us and many of us misuse it... It can cause accidents etc, why don't they understand... There have been many accidents when the driver was talking over phone or texting someone.. When will humans learn to be a little cautious and decent???

I would never think of texting while driving. It is totally absurd to do so. As of the first of the year here Oregon, we can't even talk on the cell phone, unless it is hands free. I do take mine with me when I go out, and if it rings,I just let it ring as I don't have the new bluetooth set up on it yet. I refuse to answer the hone otherwise, so when I get to where I am going and stopped, I will call the person back. Usually it is my daughter and it is important I do keep in touch with her since shi expecting her 4th baby. Anyway, texting and or talking on the phone while driving is a distraction, and very dangerous. I won't do it, as it isn't worth the risk hurting myself or anyone else. Take care, and have a very good day.

In most states texting is illegal and people can get a ticket. I am sorry that you had to witness seeing someone text. I have never been a fan of cell phones ever since the cell phone companies came up with texting. I had heard about people in the transportation department who have gotten into accidents because they were texting. I wish all states would ban texting.
