A lot of school today has declared no classes due to the storm Basyang. LRT and MRT trains has temporary stopped operations because of no electricity. Even our area in Antipolo has no electricity. Even here in our office, has no electricity. And I notice that here in Ortigas, a lot of buildings are just using generators.
Cut branches are scattered in the streets. Old trees came down. Shanties are destroyed.
To think that Basyang only registered signal no. 2 here in Manila. I am thankful that no big amount of downfall were experienced, otherwise "Ondoy tragedy would have been releived again".

Dear, the whole building has a generator, so we are still able to work. What I mean in my post is the effects of Basyang in Metro Manila. It means its effects are wide and not only in one area.

I was not in Manila during last night's typhoon. I only get news from my bf who is staying alone in the apartment. Good thing I was out of the Metro for a vacation. However, I am supposed to be traveling back last night to Manila. Well, I heard it went blackout last night till now in Metro Manila. I am worried though for leaving my bf alone going through the effect of typhoon. He perhaps is so bored. You are right, we have to be thankful that no another Ondoy happened.

I wasn't able to sleep well all night since it was a bit noisy in our neighborhood since their roof was somehow being blown so there was lots of noise outside. We could not open our windows to let cool air in since it would also blow the leaves and other so it was still hot and humid inside the house. Now I am back in the office still no power whatsoever but fortunate that we have power ran by generator and is able to get online.

I am also here in the office, we have power through generator but the aircon can not be turned on because the generator wouldn't be able to carry the whole load.

We have no classes today. There's no electricity in the dorm for almost 24 hours. There's also no water. It's so hot. Last night, I could hear the sound of the strong wind. It was like it was banging the wall of the dormitory I'm staying in. My dorm mate was really scared that she even called her mom to say I love you.
