Call or text?

When I'm in a place where its prohibited to be loud I find it very convenient that I can text on my cellphone. I also like the speaker phone feature when I'm driving. I don't like bluetooth though. I find it very distracting when something is in my ear all the time. I guess it depends on where you are whether to text or call on your phone. Do you find texting more convenient or calling?

Information that entails a lot of details would prompt me to call. If it is something not of much importance or I might be too shy to tell personally, I'd text.

Hi, Gorillafootprints925. I agree with you. I do find texting more beneficial than calling someone when you are in a place that does not allow the usage of a cell phone. I usually will call someone instead of texting them.

When I have to say something really small, I usually text it. There is no point of calling someone, when it is just one small thing. Also I prefer others to text me, because I would better got text-ed when I can't answer my phone, rather than calling, which result my phone vibrating. It is annoying sometimes. But if you want to say something important or don't have the time to text it or you are just bored and want to talk to someone, calling is the best. The other person could hear your voice and it "transfers" extra information. Even these things it is bad when there are strange noices (there are a lot) or sometimes when someone else is calling or the phone just disconnects.

I used to text, but now my daughter and I talk on the phone instead of texting. We used to text for a very long time as we both had unlimited texting on our phones, but now that she doesn't, she doesn't want to use them up and then have to spend more money again. She said though that she will more than likely raise her text messages though as she has a 15 year old son, and he likes to text a lot. I reaslly don't talk on my phone all that much either. Sometimes I will forget t tell her something that I meant to tell her, so I will just wsait until I talk to her again instead of texting it to her. Usually it isn't all that important anyway. Take care and have a very good day.

For myself it was prefer to use text rather than call, since text cost is lower than call. Then, sometimes if during meeting or discussion with other person, we still can use text, because it will not be interruption to our meeting or discussion. So that's way i prefer in text.
