Hi, There are many ways to improve your level of English, but only you can find the right way for you. Here are a few tips that might help like motivate yourself first. If you are not motivated to learn English you will become frustrated and give up. You know how much time you can dedicate to learning English, but a short time each day will produce better, longer-term results than a full day on the weekend and then nothing for two weeks. Spend your time on things that interest you. If you like cooking then buy an English-language cookbook or find recipes on the net and practise following the recipes. Hi yaowenting, here is my own way to improve my speaking english. I don't whether it works for others or not. Anyway I try to read as much news, articles and posts I could, which are related to my profession daily. Besides listen to news and program relevant to our job often. Other than that I like typing as many posts as I could here frequently to polish my language here. I never let go any opportunity to chat with people in english if I come across any english speaking person I feel happy if we could keep on chatting happily. This means that they understand what I speak and we could communicate with each other without any language barrier More practices in daily life would push your learning pace faster. My job also requires that I must speak English very well. But since it is not my first language I speak in what they call "broken english". I feel so bad when I talk and the other person Im talking to is kinda confused on what Im talking about. I can speak, understand, write english well than conversing in English. What I do to improve my English vocabulary and to familiarize myself with the common expression, accent and words they use is I watch a lot of YOU TUBE VLOGS. I study how they speak, react and pronounce and so far I am improving somehow. Also, I watch a lot of talk show especially "Ellen Degeneres show" I like how she speaks English and I am learning the language at the same time laughing to all her jokes. You should try it.. Its addictive. ",

The best way to learn a language let alone English is to hear it and use it. Seems like you are at the right place in your work where you'll get to use English to communicate with foreign guests. The rest is up to you. The more English you use the more improvement you would make.

Hi, The best way to learn english is to first of all read an english newspaper everyday and mark out , at least 10 words which you dont understand and , then find out meanings of those 10 words from the dictionary and then try to frame sentences with those 10 words. Secondly you should , also find out some phrases from the newspaper and try to find out meanings of those phrases and then use them. You should do this regularly for at least 3-6 months. Also try to read english magazines, articles. etc.

The best way for a person to get acquainted with a language is to learn approximately 50-100 vocabulary words per day and to read in the language and to talk to people who speak the language. Language skills and acquisition take time and no one should get discouraged.

I share your feeling. Because my English is poor as well,and I have this question for a long time. In order to improve English skill,I join mylot. After that,I find that there are so many members help me and encourage me. Now I am used to access mylot in my daily,hope we can make a progress together in the future.
