Learning something new keeps our energy active and affects not only us, but those around us. What have you always wanted to do? Take a dance class, learn to sail, knit a sweater, write, draw, whatever you choose, why not begin today? Let's get past the fear, get rid of the excuses and enrich our life with fun, new friends and the pride of trying something new. Are you ready?

get rid of the excuses
I tried, but failed. i wanted to loose weight but i wasn't too consistent, can't help. i don't know, it seems that what ever motivation i have, it seemed to have failed me all the time. i think am doing the wrong kind of exercise.
I wanted dance and singing class but i simply have no money (now that's a fact and not excuse)

Hi LetranKnight, Thank you for sharing and I know what you mean. A lack of money can often prevent us from doing certain things. Do not give up on your dreams though as we never know what the future will bring. Remain positive and keep looking. As for losing weight the best exercise is walking and if you can, try to walk an hour a day every day, but even a half hour will help if you are persistent. Don't give up after one or two weeks. Also watch your food intake, eat healthy and on time. There's an old saying that we should eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a queen and dinner like a servant. In other words eat a good breakfast and lunch and have a small dinner. Never eat at night and drink plenty of water throughout the day. Fish oil capsules can also be helpful but not without the exercise and proper diet. Blessings.

Yes I know this felling when you want to learn something new, but you do not have money for It. Or how is felling when we do things, but we failed. Without job we can do anything. My relatives have a secret how to less weight do not doing anything special. Good luck with your plans and I hope all your dreams would materialize. Take care, Have a nice day!

"Ninety-nine percent of the failures come from people who have the habit of making excuses.” ~ George Washington
I think there is a great deal of truth in this! Even if we fail the first time, if we continue to push ourselves in any given area we will eventually learn. We also may learn that we were not meant to do that particular study, and that is ok. We never know what we can do until we try to accomplish that task.

I have the thoughts of wanting to try something new but there always seems to be something that gets in the way and I am then prevented from taking that first step! I do agree with you that trying something new revitalises us and we feel good about ourselves for having taken that action! However, I seem to be stuck in my ways despite wanting to try something new!
I have been trying to get rid of the excuses to no avail. I have even tried listening to positive thinking tapes as well as coaching tapes and they work for a short while, they put me in a good mood but then it's quickly back to my old ways. I think that fear plays a big part in my life and is preventing me from moving forward! What am I fearful about? All those things you hear over and over again! Fear of rejection! Fear of not doing it right! Fear of making a fool of myself! It seems my life is plagued by fear!
Despite all of that I'm trying to remain positive and I'm trying to take small steps in order to reach some of my goals as difficult as they may be. I'm hopeful for the future and I have an open mind! Of course, money comes into the equation and when you don't have enough of the green stuff it's often quite hard to achieve what you want. As things stand I'm taking each day as it comes! Andrew

Hi Andrew, Here is a very important rule: NEVER TAKE COUNSEL OF YOUR FEARS. As for making a fool of yourself, don't worry about what others think. I read read something recently that I liked, it went like this; "what others think of you is none of your business lol! Don't give up my friend, if it's something that you really want to do, begin now. Blessings.

Yeah, as far as I am concerned, I think I usually try my best to learn something new in my life to keep myself fresh and full of energy. So I think I am ready to learn something new. The new knowledge may not help us at the moment , but it do can help us in the future days. No matter how long it take into reality life. It does affect us life a lot!

I want to learn something new for a change and to widen my horizons. Also I have more time now to learn new things. Right now, I want to learn how to bake cakes so that I don't have to buy it whenever there are occasions or whenever I just feel like eating cakes. I can also design the cakes the way I want it.

Hello Pose. Now I'm trying to learn to cook pasta, meat with sauce and anything that is a bit complicated. My boyfriend has always been challenging me if I can learn to cook good meals. On top of that, it's such a good compliment if people say that the meal I prepared is great.
And oh, hopefully next month, I can begin learning to speak Spanish. I might enroll this coming week.

Hi pose123!
At the moment I really wanna to learn how to drive a car and get my license. But I always think twice before doing it because we don't have car at home and I afraid I lose my ability when I am not driving regularly.
I wanna to do so many thing but at the end I usually loose my motivation in middle.

Hi ET, Never take counsel of your fears and do not worry about what others might think. These are too very important rules, it's your life and don't reach the end with your dreams unfulfilled. If you love cooking, go for it. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Blessings

I'd really like to get back into photography. It's something I love and I used to do all the time, but I just haven't had the drive to do it lately. I even bought a DSLR camera to take the best pictures with... It cost a lot, and I've only used it once or twice. Your post may just inspire me to go out and take some photos again! Thanks!
