Do you think it's possible to force yourself to be a social person to gain the skills necessary to get the job you want, despite any prior meaningful social interactions? Say you're looking to be a tutor or customer representative for a tech store, but your work experience consists of sitting behind a computer typing, without any direct interaction with your client.

Sure, it's not only possible to force yourself to do this, it's to your advantage if you do this even if you're not looking for another job. Everyone needs social and networking skills. As you go through life you are always going to find yourself in situations where you have to spend time with others and/or socialize. Practicing in small social settings is a good idea.
