My bank card does not allow me to make any transactions from machine...:D

Well i recently found out i went to get some money from the cash machine and all of a sudden my credit card was not allowing me to withdraw money out from the cash machine.I found that wierd becouse it was showing me how much balance i had on there and i was allso allowed to use it at the shop at the till but found it very strange that it was't allowing me to take any money out anyways i rang the people who deal with lost and stolen cards and they said that they will send me one in 7 working days .. Have u ever acured the same prob and did it really annoy you have you had similer experiance to me if so would love to hear from you....
