I heard of this Indian guy who completed his Schooling at the age of Nine and then he had Bachelors degree in his hands when he turned 10 which is amazing .
He further went on to get a Masters in Science at the age of 12,receiving a doctorate from Indian Institute of Science at 21 and now he is a freaking Assistant professor in IIT now.
Common man i was good at my studies in my college.....Good enough to top those studious ones in my class---but i never felt like having so many degrees lol i completed mine at my leisure playing around
So what do you think about this Stud who is damn studious ? How did you fair in your studies ? were you an average,Good or outstanding student ? Were you really serious about higher studies nd bla bla bla

My friends least care about their studies as they concentrate on their sports than anything else. Its good to have few extraordinary skills.I was never into sports seriously though except chess, cricket and volleyball

even i saw it in newspaper. some people are born bright and they should make full use of it. its no use, if he sits next to us and get spoilt.
moreover they are born special and they ought be special.
as far as I'm concerned, I'm an intelligent fella in school days, but gradually started becoming street smart. now I'm just an ordinary student.

i've been told that i'm a genie-a$$
there is so much emphasis placed on 'textbook' studies that sometimes those achievements are not as wholesome as it should be. what happened to experiencing and learning from life? how good would we be in the actual application of our studies if all we have learnt from are theories? how do we learn to deal with life's challenges that are bigger than a mathematical equation? would our spirituality be able to deal with what we learned academically? would our morals & ethics be as balanced as they should be if we only learned about it in a classroom?
there was a child prodigy from my country who gained entry into Oxford University at the age of twelve. unfortunately her journey took a wrong turn somewhere, and she is now in the 'flesh-trade' somewhere in Europe..

her story is a very unfortunate one.... but it brings me back to the point i was trying to make. it is in my humble opinion that it is way much better for us to grow and learn at our own pace. being able to learn from our experiences, while applying our academic theories and lessons towards solving problems that we face everyday. an academic genius who is only that would be terribly imbalanced. and a well balanced person who is also a genius would be a real gem

he has been humiliated several times but he learnt to go ahead leaving those critics behind.Interviewers never go for people who have cent percentages in their academics atleast in IT they filter them well ahead

I was always a really good student, got straight A's without much effort but then I turned 16, got my drivers license and decided that cars and boys were way more interesting than any books the school could give me.

We are the creator of our own path in life. What we sow we reap. I was never a studious person and went to finishing college just to earn me a place in the employment world but called it quit prematurely as there is more in me than making others rich. I am glad to realize that early and happy now enjoying the fruits of my labor.

I was very serious about my studies and always learned things way ahead of my level on my own For example, I read Dante's Inferno in 4th grade (age 11), but nobody gave me any opportunity to skip grades. I guess they only do that for guys. I don't think a 12 year old should be allowed to get a master's degree, though. A 12 year old should be allowed to learn, but is still a kid emotionally and needs to associate with other kids, I think.

I think it's great to hear about someone who achieves so much at so young an age. When I was in school I didn't like to do my homework or study, I only did stuff like that in hs, and only enough to get by. When I was in my senior year I worked harder so that I could graduate. I know different countries have different standards for learning. Years ago here in the USA you had to memorize certain thing and be able to recite it, now that's like extra credit stuff you don't have to. It's like, as long as you can remember it for the test your fine... And even for exams you could use a book sometimes. I can't complain, I did enjoy open book exams, I just hope when my husband and I have kids education will be more strict in schools, and I know my husband and I will be strict about the kids studying and doing their homework.

Well he may not have had a good night's sleep but if he enjoyed studying that's all good and well. I suppose he eventually got used to the lack of sleep and adjusted wherein he didn't need much sleep at all. Yes in school we had the open book ones, and those exams usually took an hour or less to do. I think it's the lazy way though I couldn't complain as I did like those in school.
Schooling can be hard. I agree parents should keep a close vigil over their kids to help them learn and have fun doing it.

i doubt if he ever had a good nights sleep---he studied too much compared to a nine year old kid.i heard of open book exams and those would have been much better coz i was so sick of byhearting those answers when i was in my schooling and started to grasp things using some logic in my college which kept me going.literate parents can manage their kids well compared to those who doesnt even care to enquire about their terminal exams

I do not know what will I call on that one. He was overly genious.I don't understand if that is about his genes or something her mother eaten while she was pregnant with him. Anyway, if you ask me I can say I was an average student, I sometimes A's the examinations and flunk it as well. I can be studious and I can be normal, normal like sleeping when you need to review when you got home. I only got serious when I received a scholarship in college. I had a grade to meet and I met it and I was multi task as a student and working at school.

Maybe he's just that gifted.^_^ The normal lectures that normal people have become boring to him because he learns it pretty fast. So he went for higher education to challenge himself and expand his knowledge. I would have loved to be like that because that means I have more time to do whatever I want. He got schooling over and he can do whatever he wants. He can have the job that he wants or even change jobs as often as he wants. Most importantly, he can retire at age 50 and travel around the world if he wanted to.
Me, I just take things as they come. I was never serious in my studies unless I was on the verge of failing that subject, that's when I study and do a good job.LOL So my scores are average. I know I can be a straight A student if I set my mind to it but I choose to live life while having a normal academic life.
That's just me anyways.^_^

my study graph was a bit weird---i was really annoying in my schooling and i never had any interests in my studies but i did improve a lot as i grew older and i started to love my subjects than to hate them.

It seems this man is above average. At least in intelligence. We will have to see if he is also wise. It is not the same.
I´m a fairly intelligent person. I got out of school two years before the usual age and did very well in my studies, specially when I studied my second career. I was then the best student in my class because I was interested. But I´m afraid I have not taken studies very seriously. I tend to take life a lot more seriously that studies. Does that make me dumb?

Sunnycool.;-)
this dude can get as many degrees as he wants because he is seem to finish everything at a very young age when normal people have to finish it at a regular pace.
This guy is a genius or a gifted. Plus, he managed to focus that gift to what he wanted to achieve thus having done all those.
I was an excellent student who became average when I started to lack interest in the field of study that i have chosen.
Well, this guy is one cool, guy but I don't wanna be a part of his circle of friends.LOL
