You know friends. I have two rabbits at home. both are young. one boy and one girl. I kept them in one cage. The boy disturbed the girl a lot. At early stage I ignored them as it is the nature. But little by little the girl started to scream with pain. She seemed to be not liking to mate with the boy. My 10 year old daughter started to cry. She was so sorry for the girl. so we bought another cage and seperated them. now no scream and no violance. ( But we let them together for half another in our garden) Is that ok or am i doing a mad thing.

How do they react now when you let them out of their separate cages. Does peace prevail between them during this half an hour?
If they are still young (3-4 months old) then the possibility of mating is low as they are ready to mate at around 6-7 months from birth. Try to keep them in one cage again and then observe their behaviour or better consult a vet.

When i have rabbits before they are not fighting and they are always stick together if they are seeing people around them. They also always jump on the back of each other. They also got a baby. Maybe your female rabbit don't like the guy rabbit. Mt cousin told me if the rabbit already grew up with another rabbit and you will separate it to other there are possibility that will not eat and die. But i think it depend on the rabbit.
